Escape to Port Haverigg for a comfortable holiday by a 200-acre lake, ideal for watersports, from surfing to water-skiing. The holiday village faces a south westerly direction, making it the ideal destination for romantic gateaways or simply, for watching sunsets. It is also conveniently located near the magnificent beach and sand dunes which form part of the Duddon Estuary, whilst the Lake District National Park is right on the doorstep. And inside or outside, you'll find space, space, space. Cleverly laid out to offer water views, each unit has generous grounds and parking bays around them. The park has two entries to the lake, one in the secure boatyard and one at the other end of the park by the Ski School and Ski Bar. Both are secure and family friendly. The Ski Bar is a lively bar which hosts the many water sports events happening year-round at Port Haverigg. The Ski School provides the equipment, safety and boats for your fun and enjoyment. Want some fun with the kids? Not a problem. Banana boat rides are available at a small fee.

Local attractions

Watersports are available on the lake. The locality around the park consists of the town of Millom and the village of Haverigg. Leave the park by the Ski bar’s entrance and in less than five minutes you have a hidden beach with miles of stunning sand, dunes and gorgeous coastline. Here you will find a fantastic park for the kids and a beach cafe serving very reasonably priced food for all. Further up the coast there is also the local rugby club and a little further down is a nudist beach. The town of Millom is small but has all you need from banks and supermarkets to restaurants and petrol stations. The lake is enclosed by RSPB Hodbarrow nature reserve which is well worth exploring on foot or by pedalling. Within a 35-minute drive you can be at Coniston Water and a further 10-minute drive will take you to the Lakeland Motor Museum and Donald Cambell tribute. Lake Windemere is only 1-hour drive from the park as is the stunning town of Ambleside.
