What customers say
Moss Side Farm: chilled, adults-only farm stay with great views. Friendly hosts, farm animals, pick your own spot. Basic but clean facilities. Rocky ground can be tricky. Great for a cruisy rural break.

Liked Great qwerty site with a fab host who was always on hand to help where she could.
Little ducklings walking around made our day.
Lovely flat and easy walk to the town along the old railway track where we visited the bakery and pubs.

Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely quiet site. Clean toilets and showers with warm water. Louise and family very welcoming and happy to help. The two mischievous cairn terriers that came to chill with us on an evening.
Walk to the village was nice. About 40 minutes flat walk, two pubs, butcher, baker etc.
Disliked The bugs! Don't forget your insect repellent and citronella EVERYTHING.

Liked We loved the campsite, Louise was incredibly welcoming and explained where everything was as soon as we arrived. Good facilities and excellent views of the hills from where we pitched up.

Excellent choice for living simply, amongst great views.
Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Wonderful surroundings with lovely views. Great to see the farm animals and owners' dogs - lots of ducklings to watch while we were there. Peace and quite even on a busy weekend.
Friendly welcome upon arrival and then left to come and go (mobile number to contact if any problems and they are on site as well)
Large grassy field to pick own spot in. Busy over the weekend but never felt loud and there was always room. Quieter during the week.
It's worth the pleasant short walk along a trail to the small local town of Broughton-in-Furness. Butchers, bakers, coffee shop and pub. Visiting the Old Kings Head for a Sunday roast should not be missed.

Liked I liked it was a working farm, on a hillside with amazing views. Can walk down to village using the disused railway line, all woodland, so shaded. Village has pubs, food, butchers and shop.
Each pitch has a fire pit
Friendly owner and pet dogs that can smell a bbq from a mile away. Toilets and showers ‘quirky’ complete with spiders webs … don’t expect 5* luxury loos/showers

Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Beautiful setting and amazing views. Louise was lovely and very helpful and supportive of her guests. The facilities were clean and looked after with necessities provided and hot water was always available. The site is level on what was an old railway track, so drainage is good but you need strong tent pegs.
The walk from the campsite straight down the old railway into Broughton-In-Furness was really enjoyable. The Blacksmiths Arms at Broughton Mills was also excellent.
Disliked The grass was quite long and in need of a cut, but it was hay making time so the farm equipment was in full use. You just need to remember this is a working farm that provides the campsite, not the other way round.
