What customers say
Great spot with friendly check-in & views. Café and forest access are bonuses. BUT, poor signage, no staff on arrival, distant facilities, early horsey noise & pricey bar are common gripes. Some felt facilities didn't match the cost.

Liked We absolutely LOVED it !! I came with my 14 year old son and 5 year old grandson for two days and it was brill ! The staff especially the girl on reception and the cafe staff where soooo kind and helpful we were given the run of the whole site and it was relaxed and the whole place was spotless , the food in the cafe was great and getting to watch the horses for free was a bonus !! We are DEFINITELY going back ! Thanks to all at Kelsal Hill 😊👍

Had a great long weekend stay. Beautiful site and great price
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Staff were very friendly. The camping section was small but plenty of space and with the gates shut at all times was very secure.
The showers and toilets were extremely nice and clean. The showers had good power with hot water at all times.
Loved waking up each morning and having horses in the field opposite and also out on the track right outside the tent.
The views were great too. Down to the valley and the woods. Great paths for walks around the centre. The dog loved it too.
There was a port-a-loo at the too of the field which was handy through the night. Extremely clean.
Loved the site. And a great price
Disliked The water point was behind the gates that were shut so had to climb under the electric fence, until I realised there was another water point behind a caravan.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Nice views and seeing the horses
Disliked No facilities, 1 outside tap and 1 portaloo, no communication from the owners. Also by a very busy road, noisy at night

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Good price and we had a great experience checking in; the staff were friendly and thorough in explaining everything we needed to know. The campsite itself is in a lovely area, and the toilets were clean.
Disliked The only downside was that our pitch was a bit far from the toilets

Perfect
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked We had a great time, the views are impeccable! The horses and cows were entertaining. I enjoyed waking up to cows mooing in unison. The site is beautiful and feels like wild camping which suited us. We were treated with respect. Toilets and showers are open 24 hours and there is access to an outdoor water tap. In the evening it was lovely to see hares and hear owls. No mosquitoes! We would definitely stay again, we enjoyed the quirkiness’s.

Liked Friendly helpful staff and everyone happy to help. Excellent cafe with early opening times.
The centre is of course primarily set up for horse riding but was still made very welcome

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The access to the show jumping and the walks straight from the site where lovely
Disliked Price in on site bar. £6.75 a pint is a lot. Maybe discount for people staying on site could be applied

Equestrian centre catering to horse comps not campers.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Watching horse event late evening.
Disliked No body on premises no one attended phone or reception at 5.45 pm when we arrived .Ended up parking in the car park near a toilet block as could find anyone to direct us . Toilets and shower clean but not good enough service to rate as a campsite.
We have stayed at 35 sites so far and this was disappointing .
