Peaceful and scenic, Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park is a prime destination for anyone who adores the countryside. Based on the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal in Church Minshull, the Cheshire park also has a great set of marina facilities. Visit the award-winning marina’s licensed café and picnic areas to unwind. Set on a 100-acre plot, guests can also watch the wildlife or take a walk along the towpath. There are also showers and 24-hour laundry facilities. For activities outside of the park, there are many shops, cafés and pubs in the market town Nantwich, which is a five-mile drive away. There’s also easy access to the M6 and the B5074 in Church Minshull. Families, couples, small groups and dogs are all welcome at the site.

Peaceful, clean marina site with roomy, flat pitches. Guests loved the fab, modern loos/showers and friendly staff. The cafe overlooking the marina was a winner. Dog walks by the canal and local shops were a bonus. Watch out for wasps and marina noise, though.

Liked Looked lovely on pictures cafe, food the canal boats around the marina

Disliked Toilet/showers need a mop for people to use after showers. They need a clean dust and it's not just a day of dirt. Cleaners going in changing toilet rolls bin bags but not cleaning sinks or toilets. Such a shame because they are a high standard finish.

Liked Not much to like except the short walk around the marina.

Disliked Very disappointed with this site. It had a feeling of staying between an industrial estate and a car park .
The showers were ok but very cold as no heating was on.

Local attractions

Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park's Cheshire location and easy access from the M6 means it's in a most handy spot to get to heaps of tourist attractions around this part of the north west and Chester. A popular option in the area is Oulton Park, the racing track in the little village of Budworth that bills itself as the prettiest track in all the land, or you could hike around the wilds of nearby Delamere Forest, or stick to lazy days and potter around small Cheshire villages like Tattenhall and Tarporley. Chester is also easily accessible from the caravan park and has heaps to see among its old streets and swish shops. Animal fans make their way to Chester Zoo on the outskirts of the city to see as many as possible of its 12,000+ animals and over 400 species; if nature is your animalish thing, also get along to the Blue Planet Aquarium and its 100 or so living displays including the biggest school of sharks in Europe. Green fingered? Clear the car boot and drive over to Bridgemere, one of the biggest garden centres in the world and with all things gardenlike as well as toys and clothes in its mammoth shopping centre.
