  • Peaceful park at a marina in the centre of the Cheshire canal network
  • Set in over 100 acres of countryside 10 minutes' drive from Nantwich
  • Café and picnic areas; access to walks along the towpath
Peaceful and scenic, Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park is a prime destination for anyone who adores the countryside. Based on the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal in Church Minshull, the Cheshire park also has a great set of marina facilities. Visit the award-winning marina’s licensed café and picnic areas to unwind. Set on a 100-acre plot, guests can also watch the wildlife or take a walk along the towpath. There are also showers and 24-hour laundry facilities. For activities outside of the park, there are many shops, cafés and pubs in the market town Nantwich, which is a five-mile drive away. There’s also easy access to the M6 and the B5074 in Church Minshull. Families, couples, small groups and dogs are all welcome at the site.

What customers say

This marina spot's got plenty of room, is nice and flat, and super quiet. Reviews rave about how clean it is and the lovely staff. People loved the marina vibe, the cafe, and walks along the canal. Top marks for the modern, spick-and-span loos and showers. A few grumbles about cafe hours, Wi-Fi way out on the site, and not heaps to do here. Some thought it a bit dear, but heaps reckon they'll be back.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Extraordinarily clean and well-maintained facilities, and we had a good vegan cake option and good coffees in the café. Spacious and well-kept camping lawn, very flat and we were lucky we had most of it to ourselves!

Disliked A massive digger & lorry thing arrived on site at around 9am, so it’s just as well we were already packing up earlier than planned. But it made me a bit nervous with having my toddler running around.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks so much for your lovely feedback! We're really pleased you enjoyed your stay. Apologies for the disruption — as we're a working marina, large vehicles will occasionally be coming in and out, though we do our best to keep any disturbance to a minimum. We completely understand your concern and appreciate your understanding. We’d love to welcome you back again soon!

Will definitely be back ! Thankyou

Powered gravel caravan site

Liked Absolutely lovely peaceful place. Perfect for relaxing. Toilet and shower block is superior, warm and spotless ! Touring pitches are huge and spaced apart from each other which is so good. Pitches are very flat which is a real plus !

Disliked The road system to get there is not the best especially if the main road leading in is closed which it was when we were there. Most other roads have parts which are single file and lots of farm traffic …. Having said all that it wouldn’t put me off it’s still worth it !

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so pleased you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, spacious pitches, and spotless facilities. We understand the access to us has been difficult whilst the road is closed but we're glad to hear it didn’t take away from your overall experience. We'd love to welcome you back!

Lovely spot, clean toilets, friendly staff.

Local attractions

Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park's Cheshire location and easy access from the M6 means it's in a most handy spot to get to heaps of tourist attractions around this part of the north west and Chester. A popular option in the area is Oulton Park, the racing track in the little village of Budworth that bills itself as the most picturesque track in all the land, or you could hike around the wilds of nearby Delamere Forest, or stick to lazy days and potter around small Cheshire villages like Tattenhall and Tarporley. Chester is also easily accessible from the caravan park and has heaps to see among its old streets and swish shops. Animal fans make their way to Chester Zoo on the outskirts of the city to see as many as possible of its 12,000+ animals and over 400 species; if nature is your animalish thing, also get along to the Blue Planet Aquarium and its 100 or so living displays including the biggest school of sharks in Europe. Green fingered? Clear the car boot and drive over to Bridgemere, one of the biggest garden centres in the world and with all things gardenlike as well as toys and clothes in its mammoth shopping centre.
