  • Quiet family-run site five minutes’ drive from Tattenhall in Cheshire
  • Shropshire Union Canal five minutes’ drive and Chester 20 minutes
  • Wildlife pond and walks on site; pubs and shops five minutes’ drive
Set in 20 rural acres on the Cheshire Plain and five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tattenhall, Manor Farm Caravan Park is a small family-owned site with hardstanding and grass pitches sheltered by high hedges and trees. It’s a peaceful spot that’s something of a wildlife haven; you might wake up to the chirping of birds and the sight of playful wild rabbits scuttling around the fields. Keep your eyes open at dusk and you may spot ducks and geese settling for the night around the ponds, or hedgehogs foraging for food. Tattenhall has its fair share of half-timbered cottages and indie shops as well as pubs, restaurants and takeaways if you’re wanting someone else to do the legwork where food is concerned. When you’re looking for outdoor adventures, Delamere Forest (20 minutes) is a labyrinth of walking, horse riding and cycling trails, while Chester (also 20 minutes) makes a great day out thanks to its Roman/medieval walls, half-timbered Tudor-era architecture and zoo. Facilities have been kept to a minimum so as not to disturb the wildlife, but all the pitches have an electric hook-up. There are also spotless showers with loads of hot water to go round, and a covered washing-up sink.

What customers say

Great value, peaceful spot with spacious, level sites. Clean facilities, friendly owners, and a top dog field. Some want more loos & local shops, but most love it as a base and would come back.

Fox powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Great site. Just stayed one night whilst travelling from Anglesey to Cheltenham so a friend could meet me for dinner. Had an electric pitch as have been travelling off grid so nice to plug in, charge up , have a shower, etc. Post school hols so super quiet. Nice surroundings and very peaceful. The lady who met me as I came in was really friendly and welcoming. Shower was lovely and HOT and the facilities spotless. Will definitely be back. I think the farmshop/cafe currently under construction may be a bonus to those staying in the future. Hopefully it won't spoil this very lovely peaceful site! Thankyou! Karen x

Rabbit unpowered grass caravan site

Liked Extremely reasonable price for a flat pitch in a quiet location with oodles of wildlife. Showers and toilets clean, I have paid much more for the same facilities. Particularly loved the duck pond and easy access to Chester and other areas of interest.

Disliked Nothing. I will be back!

Fox powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Lovely peaceful sight in a perfect location! It was half hour drive into the local town, which was quite small but a few nice pubs and restaurants. We decided to drive as it was a walk along dark country lanes to get back but would definitely drive in the height of summer. Not far from lots of places to visit!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Lisa, look forward to having you stay again with us!
