waterfront country park was originally started in 1993 transformed from the original old nursery set in 7 acres of beautiful countryside. We currently have 51 hard standing pitches with 84 electric hook up points. To the bottom of the park we have dingle dell with 33 pitches which are set on grass within the orchard.A brand new toilet block is now open, Showers with underfloor heating are now completed with new eco friendly biomass boiler and solar heating. We are now hiring touring caravans on site and are doing fishing breaks in a partnership with 2 exclusive local lakes which are not fished much and well stocked with carp(F1 fish up to 28lb, tench barbel chub bream roach and rudd) .The park is surrounded by water to the s/west is the chesterfield canal which meanders through villagers and market towns from chesterfield and finally opening up into the west stockwith/waterfront marina, then via the challenging lock into the river trent.To the n/east of the park is the mother drain which is is adedicated envoiremental nature site which is protected due to breeding of rare dragonflies.

Route directions

From the A1 take the A614 to bawtry then the A631 to gainsborough then at beckingham roundabout head left on the A161 follow signs to west stockwith where you will go over the hump back bridge towards the waterfront inn then turn immediate left into the pub car park and you will see the site entrance. From the M180 take the A161 to belton and epworth carry on through misterton to the 2 painted mini roundabouts heading left to west stockwith then over hump back bridge turn immediate left after waterfront inn pub into car park you will see the site entrance.

There are 2 local pubs in the village doing food, the waterfront inn is 50m away and the white hart isappprox 500m .The marina is 50m away with a yacht club which welcomes caravanners. Misterton is the next village which can be walked in 15mins or drive round where there is a good quality local butcher ,well stocked medium sized Coop,a chinese, italian take away and of course the local chippy.Also in misterton is a riding stables with cafe doing english breakfasts and speciality food nights.We also have the river idle which runs to haxey gate where the Golf course is, and the Haxey gate pub which does excellent fare try the ribeye steak Gainsborough is only 6 miles Retford is 10 miles,and the 12 century port of bawtry is 9 miles away with with its very cosmopolitan restaurants well worth a saturday night out .
