Power optional gravel and concrete caravan site
Liked: Nice area and hare and hound inn over the road food delicious and dog friendly
Disliked: Small pitch for caravan and awning and car had to be parked on wet grass between awning and caravan next door with no fire break in case of emergency. Dogs allowed on site but not at the cafe and we were not allowed to sit outside with dog and have a coffee in rain. Although nice pub over the road did whilst having a meal.rather abrupt staff and small toilet blocks for amount of visitors, children’s play area was a mud bath and needs renovation

Liked: Site was lovely and the facilities were clean. Staff were lovely and friendly. Plenty of water taps around to fill up. The views were just lovely especially seeing the sunset on our last night.
Disliked: Pitches were small and too close together. Didnt like them being around the park as, although there are 'no ball games' signs up, kids were still playing football and my caravan and car got hit a couple of times. Shop could do with being open a bit later than 5pm, especially when you need to purchase electric. Pitches arent level with it being on a hill and we made the mistake of not bringing our levellers but know for next time (maybe this could be mentioned on the information so people are aware and dont get caught out like us).

From the manager: Hi Sarah, many thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear other customers where not reading the 'no ball games' sign, we will work more on asking customers to respect these signs. There was the availability to buy electric from the cafe bar until 11pm at night and wanting the reception open longer would require staff to work longer than 10 hours per day every day would be unreasonable. Most experienced tourers always pack their levellers in case of uneven pitches. We look forward to seeing you again the future, especially as you enjoyed many aspects of the park. Kind regards, York House Caravan Park team.

Camping pod
Liked: Facilities are spotlessly clean, on site cafe/bar was really nice, even though it was in the middle of a refurb. The site itself is well kept & super quiet.
Disliked: We stayed in a pod & my only complaint would be the small window at the back of the pod needs a blind putting on it as the floodlights around the site must be on dusk till dawn switches as they are constantly on in the dark hours which is a bit annoying when your ready to get yer head down.
