What customers say

Great campsite, super clean & tidy with spacious, flat spots. Staff are legends, facilities spotless. Handy shop too. Perfect for Yorkshire coast trips, bus stop right out front. Mostly peaceful, but Wi-Fi can be dodgy. A few found pitches uneven or not enough for kids.

Fully-serviced gravel caravan site (XL, super)

Liked Plot size was great - more than enough space for tourer and awning and we have a twin axel and a awning with with 2 full size side bedrooms. Toilets were very clean and area was always clean.

Disliked DO NOT GET PLOTS 6 TO 12 - it's at the bottom of the hill where there is 2 x football nets and when the children kick the ball it goes through the net and hits either your car or tourer. It's not that we don't want the children to play but it's a lot of money for any repairs to either vehicle.

Fully-serviced gravel caravan site (XL, super)

Liked Lovely and very quiet site. Large pitch. Toilets, showers were very clean. Overall the amenities on this site were excellent.

Disliked My only dislike was trying to peg down the awning on the hard stand. This was due to limestone underneath the top layer of lose stone.

Fully-serviced gravel caravan site (XL, super)

Liked It’s been 10yrs since we visited with my dad but unfortunately he passed away. It hasn’t changed a bit. So clean and tidy always so helpful to. Would recommend leberston to anyone. The pitches are spaced out loverly for privacy both grass and stone. Not far from Filey. Big plus for myself who suffers with a bad back they have a bathroom with a bath 🛁 also it’s in a large bathroom catering for a family with a changing table toilet and sink. Loverly shop that’s stocked up to.

Disliked This is not a dislike but we had to leave a day and night early due to the storm flora having a camper with a high bed roof we had to close for safety reasons unfortunate but it’s one thing you carnt help and that’s the weather.

Local attractions

You’ll certainly not have any trouble keeping the kids occupied. Head for the sandy beach in Bridlington (20 minutes’ drive), backed by amusement arcades, mini-golf courses and a swathe of pubs and cafés. For a more sedate day at the seaside, pack a picnic and walk along five-mile Filey Beach (10 minutes) and find a sheltered spot under the cliffs at Filey Brigg to sit and watch the waves. As well as the classic beach-side amusements on South Bay, Scarborough (15 minutes) has plenty of other family-friendly attractions: make a start in the wave pool at Alpamare UK waterpark, and progress on to the walk-through aquarium and penguin pool at SEA LIFE Scarborough. Wind up exploring the ramparts and 12th-century Great Tower at Scarborough Castle, standing on a headland with exceptional views over the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Turning inland, the chalk landscapes of the Yorkshire Wolds have walking and biking opportunities aplenty. Hike sections of the Yorkshire Wolds Way, or follow the circular Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route to visit historic Beverley Minster (three hours by bike) and the speciality delis in the foodie capital of Malton (one hour 50 minutes).
