What customers say
This is a very clean, well-maintained campsite with excellent, modern facilities, including hot showers. Pitches are generally spacious, level, and well-defined. The site boasts beautiful views and is ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, with numerous walks nearby. A significant plus is the adjacent pub serving good food. Some guests noted road noise, limited phone signal, and a lack of on-site shops or children's play areas, but many expressed a desire to return.

Pub is the highlight of the site
(maximum 7.5 metres) fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site
Liked Good sized pitch and level. Some really nice views from the site. Site can be peaceful when road allows. The pub next to the site is amazing, warm welcome and the food was great. Pub is dog friendly in some areas, but tables get booked quick so best to reserve. Once you’ve tried the food you will understand why tables get booked quick! Toilet / shower block was clean and a great size - not a cramped shower at all. There are some footpaths nearby, but it looks like the landowners disagree with them as there are fences in the way and cow troughs. We did take a lovely walk through the street of New Biggin, but had to take great care with the dogs as no footpath. We were there 3 nights and did eventually warm to the site despite the dislikes.
Disliked Site states there is wi fi and free wi fi, which is not true. There is free wi fi at the pub only, but nothing on site as described. No issue with a campsite not having wi fi, but do not like an incorrect description. Once booked up, received a welcome email to say dogs could not be exercised on site at all - although described as ‘Dogs welcome’. There are no footpaths on the road next to the site, although some large grass borders. The traffic is very fast on the road so a bit hazardous with 2 dogs. Site is right next to the road as well, our pitch was feet away with just a hedge in between so could be a bit noisy at times.

Powered concrete slab caravan site (maximum 7 metres)
Liked Pitches are quite level.
The area is a great area for walking with many walks from the site but thousands within 10 - 15 miles travel.
Facilities were nice & cleaned regularly.
An inn is next door for those who need one.
Disliked Washing up hot water is too hot.
No lighting at all to get you to the facilities at night (very dark).
The water bollards are both to one side of the pitching area away from the touring spots & next to the permanently sited vans.
Daytime road noise but although very quiet at night.
Poor TV & phone signal & no site internet.

Liked There was a pub next to the site
Disliked No lighting when on touring pitch to go to use the facilities need a powerful torch. No WiFi at all. Hard to find your pitch as the owners put a very small flag with your name on at the back of the pitch.
