What customers say
Great value, quiet spot in beautiful North Yorkshire. Owners are ace, facilities clean but basic (showers coin-op). Washing up area's a bit rough but still highly recommended. Lots keen to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at…
Powered grass tent site
Liked We had a wonderful stay at this campsite. The site itself is nicely secluded, giving it a peaceful and relaxing feel. The owner was always friendly and easy to reach if needed, often checking in to make sure guests were comfortable. His two dogs were an absolute delight — beautifully trained and never intrusive, they added to the welcoming atmosphere.
We also really appreciated being able to stay close to our friends, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Everything was clean, well maintained, and very well run. We enjoyed it so much that we’re already planning to return next year!

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Nicely kept basic site, great for kids to be kids. Owner friendly and it was nice that he came over to say hello.
Disliked Unfortunately a large group was allowed on the electric pitches and despite being told to be quiet after 9.30, they continued to party for 3 nights solid. I would have told them to leave after the 2nd night. Spoiled weekend away for many, such a shame as the site is really nice but it may effect people rebooking

From the manager: Thank you for the review , sorry for the large group who should not have been able to book according to pitch up rules, They were repeatedly asked to be quiet which they ignored so were asked to leave early which they did.
Comfortable small site set in the countryside
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Really lovely little peaceful site, lots of shady trees and animals for the younger kids to see see. The owner was very attentive and helpful.
You need a £1 for the shower and 20p for extra minutes for longer, but the £1 was fine for me for a quick wash and shampoo.

Liked I found the owner to be very helpful and friendly, the facilities were clean , it is a lovely peaceful site.
We enjoyed watching the deer on an evening in the opposite field and barn owl, buzzard and various other birds.

Lovely stay away from the hustle and bustle and a very nice pint.
Powered grass tent site
Liked Had a great couple of days trying out our new tent. Good facilities and very friendly manager. Decent walk to a very friendly pub but a little hairy on some of the bends in the road but all drivers were careful and courteous. Beautiful clear skies for nighttime photography.
Disliked Some of the other campers were obviously novices and just abandoned brand new tents in the bin. Kids were a bit noisy but they were enjoying their holidays and all was quiet around our pitch by 10.30. Some campers felt that they owned the site and were very rude to the site manager/owner even though he was polite and reasonable with them.
