Liked: We loved how peaceful this site was, Tracy was absolutely brilliant, extremely helpful, personally came to our assistance whenever we needed it, even helped us set up! The food in the restaurant was extremely good, really great quality food, it was freshly prepared, good value and large portions. They also had kids eat free on Wednesday which was great. The bar had a variety of hot and cold drinks that were reasonably priced and ice cream. The showers and toilets were modern and always clean and there is also a laundrette. Would definitely visit this site again.
Disliked: Not dislikes but Two things that would make the site even better: A small shop selling basic essentials. There is a big Tesco down the road which is handy and it’s only a 5 minute drive into Withernsea where there is lots of shops, cafes, fish and chips and ice cream parlours but a small shop would be a great addition on-site. The other would be a pot wash facility. Although we have a sink in our van sometimes when we have big pans/air fryer we usually take them to the pot wash at other sites as it’s just easier to clean up. (We did search for one and couldn’t find it but maybe we missed it )

Liked: We were placed right next to the park so the children could go off and play and we could still see them, the owners were absolutely lovely! Couldn't fault them at all!
Disliked: There wasn't always entertainment on, we went during the school holidays and there wasn't any entertainment for the children, there was a band on the one night but my children are only young so didn't like the band. The food was bland even with us adding salt we couldn't eat it, the bar staff were rude to us, the girl who brought our food out was rude, I told her we wanted BBQ nachos not BBQ wings and she said "well that's what you ordered but I'll check the receipt" she came back out with what we'd actually ordered without an apology! The man behind the bar was arrogant towards us, we asked for a table to eat he replied "have you booked, you must book" the room had one table with a family on which was eating every other seat was empty we replied "oh sorry we didn't know" he said " well next time you have to book a table but I'll do it now" booked us in and said "right follow me, sit here" honestly I was shocked but with my children I didnt want to say anything If it wasnt for the bar staff and the waitress I'd have said everything was perfect but it wasn't unfortunately and because of the staff behind the bar we won't be returning

I am really sorry but you was given the wrong information, there are fish in the pond as it was fished just recently, there was no need for you to of gone elsewhere, i am really sorry you had to do this. I have spoken to the wardens and advised them of this, best wishes Caroline.

Liked: Tracy and her husband greeted us on arrival, very friendly and welcoming. The play park was good for our children aged 3, 12 and 15. As was the amount of outdoor space they had to play. We requested to be near to the park, which we were :) We didn't use the bar/restaurant so cannot comment on it, although it looked to be busy enough. We did not use the shower/toilet facilities much as we have everything we need in our caravan, but when we did use them they were clean. The site was very quiet at night and peaceful and relaxing through the day. It was a good spot for going into Withernsea. Tesco is 2 mins down the road as is the town centre with an Aldi, Swimming Baths, amusements and a few cafes etc. The weather wasn't fantastic during our stay but we still found lots to do and had a lovely break away!
Disliked: The only thing that we found a little frustrating was that the grass had been cut prior to us and other tourers arriving and the loose, wet grass had been collected on the play park area and around some of the statics but not on or around the grass touring pitches, therefore everything and everyone ended up covered in grass.Which made hard work for keeping the caravan clean and all equipment and toys and bikes etc were covered in wet grass!
