What customers say
Top-rated, chill spot with basic but clean facilities. Spacious sites, friendly hosts, and a village with pubs/shops nearby. A few mention faint motorway hum and no-frills amenities, but all in all, a ripper stay.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re really pleased to hear you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and found the facilities clean and spacious. It’s great to know the walk into the village worked well for you too. Richard will be delighted to hear your kind words, we’ll be sure to pass them on.
We noticed your low score on wifi. We’re sorry your signal wasn’t as strong as you’d hoped. As we don’t supply WiFi on-site, this can vary depending on each guest’s mobile provider.
We really appreciate your recommendation. Thank you for your stay and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

Liked Large grassy pitches
Disliked Happy to use a unisex shower but found the lack of a lockable door disconcerting
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the large grassy pitches.
The shower area you were referring to is designed more as a family shower area, so parents can supervise young children from the changing area without worrying that they might accidentally lock themselves in, which is why the individual cubicles inside don’t have internal locks. However, the main door into the family shower room is lockable for privacy.
For guests who prefer additional privacy, we also have individual shower cubicles elsewhere on-site, each with their own door and key.
Thank you for your stay and your feedback.

Liked Was a very lovely and friendly site, had everything I needed for myself and my dog to enjoy, from walks in the field to horses and rabbits and deer near by,also fire pits allowed which you could hire along with wood to burn, both at a small cost. The owners were brilliant and were onsite almost every day to help and advise on any questions that you had on where local amenities were and poppy was a little star(owners dog). The shower blocks and toilets were clean and cleaned daily along with the washing up area and bins. For me it was an ideal site, lovely and peaceful and would highly recommend it,has a lot of potential for expansion too in the future.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, noise was kept to a minimum after dark and had everything I needed

From the manager: Hi Andrew, thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re pleased to hear that you had such an enjoyable stay, from the peaceful walks and wildlife to the fire pits and facilities. It’s lovely to know you found everything clean and well looked-after, and we really appreciate your kind comments about the owners and the rest of the team. Poppy was definitely loving every minute she spent playing with Tilly and she was surely missing her after you left.
Big thank you for being a wonderful camper and for Tilly for being such a lovely dog. Thank you for your stay and we hope to see you both again.
Nice long weekend stay with family and friends.

Liked It's a small site with good amenities. The toilets and showers were clean. The location is nice, with three pubs in the village and a decent takeaway.
Disliked Felt a little on top of one another when full over the Bank Holiday weekend, but everyone was nice and friendly.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the crowded feeling during the Bank Holiday weekend and we're glad to hear that our guests were friendly despite the busyness.
We hope to welcome you back in the future, perhaps during a quieter time, to enhance your experience even further.
Thank you for your stay :)
Clean and Convenient, but a Bit Too Crowded

Liked Really useful information received on arrival day via WhatsApp for how to find the site and general rules and local amenities.
The site was very clean and had plenty of showers, which was a big plus. It’s easy to get to with good road links, and there was a designated area for play which was great for kids. It’s clearly a popular site, which added to the atmosphere and there were plenty of water points close by.
Departure time 11am was good as not rushed to pack up.
Disliked However, pitches felt crammed in, and it was very busy during our stay until the last day.
There was only one sink for washing up, and hot water was unreliable in the showers running hot then cold.
Although there are noise rules (Quiet time) after 8pm, they weren’t enforced, as it's up to groups to adhere to the request, which made evenings a bit noisy but that is family camping at a popular site.

From the manager: Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We’re really pleased to hear the arrival information, facilities, play area, and 11am departure time made your stay more comfortable.
We’re sorry that the pitch spacing and evening noise affected your experience and that the hot water and washing-up facilities weren’t as consistent as they should be. Your feedback is very helpful and will be shared with the team as we continue to improve our facilities and busy-period management.
Thank you for your stay and thank you for helping us to improve with your feedback.
