Liked: Reasonably priced pitches good food at the pub. New owners deserve to be supported
Disliked: Toilet facilities need upgrading which I appreciate will be expensive however no means of drying hands, toilets not cleaned regularly and despite owners knowing in advance busy weekend failed to keep on top of toilet paper supplies. These are basic things.

Power optional concrete and grass site
Liked: Laid back campsite with nice hot showers. The site is well situated near the A1M for travelling around to see the area.
The site is right behind the Hammer and Pincers inn which serve excellent meals.
Disliked: The proximity to the high speed train track, woken up a few times by loud heavy trains, but you probably get used to them.
Pitches were a bit uneven for tents

Liked: Lovely quiet site family friendly, pitches were level, owners were new and we had a couple of hitches mainly due to our inexperience and theirs but it was all sorted out quickly. Site is in a rural location and travelling is Necessary to go anywhere. Site is 30 minutes from Beamish museum with Durham, Hartlepool, Darlington and Middlesbrough all within about an hour
