What customers say
Spick-and-span site, big, flat pitches (water/elec). Friendly owners (Beth & co). Clean loos & dishwashing. Kids loved the playground. Secure gates & quiet spot near Hamsterley Forest a bonus. Deer, goats & a donkey were a hit! Some found portaloos/showers a bit cosy, but super clean.

Liked Came here to test out our tent box, Elizabeth couldn’t have been more welcoming. Site is absolutely immaculate and gorgeous attention to detail. From the well kept pitches to the beautiful animals. Little shop on site, park for the kids and a lovely wash area and toilets. Would definitely stay here again.
Disliked Absolutely nothing.

Great site and will be returning

Liked Pretty much everything! Really helpful and friendly hosts, site very clean with a one way in and out system.plots are really good size with picnic benches on each one. We were right next to the animals in the field which was lovely to wake up to on a morning, visits from Keith the donkey while drinking your morning cuppa! Washing up facilities are great and have everything you need. Toilet and shower facilities very clean. We will definately return next year.
Disliked My only small issue and it isn’t one that would stop me returning is that as much as the toilets are clean there could be a few more. A few times we had to wait outside when they are in use as there is only 2 and the water in the sink was cold. if staying for more than a couple of nights you maybe would want more to avoid waiting outside the loos!

Liked Lovely small site. A really nice welcome on arrival from the owner who then showed us to our pitch. Good pitch—level and spacious with a picnic bench and water tap on the pitch. The site was well maintained and toilets/ facilities really clean. Really felt like they'd thought everything through, right down to having sponges and washing up liquid provided at the washing up sinks.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked We enjoyed the view and watching the animals in the neighbouring field (deer, goats, donkey and geese)
The whole site was very clean and the facilities were very well kept. (ie. Flushing portaloo toilets with mirrors and sinks, spacious shower blocks and a washing up area even with kitchen rolls)

Liked Lovely warm and friendly welcome
Very clean
Plot was spacious allowing privacy. Didn't feel overlooked.
Good for kids, safe secure, play area and the animals in the field next door were a joy. Daughter loved watching them and they even came up to her! (Deers, donkey, goat, geese).
Thank you. We would love to return one day.
Disliked There was nothing to really dislike but info to support other visitors is that they have a small shop but it wasn't open before we had to leave site at 11am. We were hoping we could buy some milk.
Finally there wasn't a lot of room in the shower (type of portashower cubicle) to get dried and changed after, but it was very clean and plenty hot water. We had dry robe and changed in the tent!
