Fernaville’s Rest is a Grade II listed country inn in Whorlton, a village on the banks of the river Tees four miles from Barnard Castle. The pub is within easy reach of several major centres, including Durham (20 miles away) and Middlesbrough (25 miles), and some lovely walks along the banks of the river or in the Yorkshire Dales National Park or the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The pub has free wifi and serves dinner every night, along with a range of cask ales and other drinks. Dogs are welcome both on the pitches and in the pub. Guests have free private parking on each pitch, and use of the toilets in the pub during opening hours.
