What customers say
Orchard Wild Camping's a ripper for peace & quiet, with heaps of space and fire pits on site. Clean solar showers, basic but tidy loos. Simon, the owner, gets a big thumbs up. A bit close to the A12 but road noise isn't a drama, especially at night. No drinking water on tap mentioned by one bloke.

Basic but marvelous!
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site (wild)
Liked The site is well tended and the pitches well thought out and nicely separated each with it's own firepit (with wood available on site too). Amenities are basic but clean. This is one for wild campers looking for an anxiety free pitch for a night/few days where you won't get moved on or have to pack down every morning. Also great for small groups / families who want to camp together and aren't looking for luxury loos and showers. The owner, Simon, is a gem. We loved it.
Disliked Literally the only the thing we missed is for drinking water to be on tap on site. There was some bottled water for anyone who forgot to fill their tanks/containers before arriving (like us!) but there's two supermarkets just minutes away in Saxmundham and I'm sure Simon would be able to provide more drinking water in an emergency.

Liked ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Orchard Wild Camping and honestly couldn't recommend it more highly.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and thought has gone into this campsite. Everything is incredibly well organised while still keeping that peaceful, authentic wild camping atmosphere.
The facilities are excellent and exceptionally clean. The toilets were spotless throughout our stay, and the showers were a real highlight. They're heated by solar energy, which is such a brilliant touch, and because they're open to the sky with no roof above, you get the unique experience of showering outdoors while looking up at the clouds during the day or the stars at night. It feels so natural and relaxing—something you don't often find at a campsite.
Every pitch has its own private fire pit, which makes the evenings incredibly cosy and gives each pitch a lovely sense of privacy. Sitting around the fire under the clear night sky was one of the best parts of our stay.
If you're worried about the nearby A12, don't be. It really wasn't an issue at all. Once the evening comes, the campsite becomes incredibly peaceful, and during the night it's wonderfully quiet. We all slept really well.
A special mention has to go to Simon. He is an incredible host—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He's fantastic with children, and they absolutely loved spending time with him. His enthusiasm and kindness really make the experience even more special.
If you're looking for a peaceful, family-friendly campsite with immaculate facilities, private fire pits, unforgettable outdoor showers, and a host who genuinely cares about his guests, Orchard Wild Camping is the perfect place. We made wonderful memories here and will definitely be returning.
Thank you, Simon, for such an unforgettable stay!

Liked Wild Orchard was perfect for what I needed and Simon was a very kind and generous host. He let me pick my own pitch and told me not to worry about leaving by 11:00. He said I could stay the whole next day if I liked.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site (wild)
Liked Had a lovely bank holiday weekend at Orchard Wild Camping. We were a couple and we had our own private area which has recently been added which was amazing. Is easy to miss on the road, but the owner was very helpful and came out to meet us and show us to our pitch. 20 minute drive to Southwold and there is a pub only a couple of minutes drive away. Toilet and shower were kept nice and clean. Thanks!

It's our second home, we will return as many times as possible
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site (wild)
Liked Spacious private pitches, thoughtful owner, nice additional touches free of charge eg seating, benches, hammock, bbq, wood burning pizza oven & fire pit (small charge for wood/kindling/firelighters) All surrounded by nature and wonderful bird song. We had the joy of watching 2 blue tit parents working tirelessly to feed their young in a nest box from dawn till dusk all weekend.
Disliked That we had to return home and couldn't stay longer!
