What customers say
Paradise Barn: chill adults-only spot, praised for quiet country vibes & roomy, flat sites. Friendly owners Alan & Janet often run social events like BBQs with live music. Facilities are clean & decent, though a few mention minor shower quirks, no hand dryers, & less available at peak times. Great walks, but the closest pub's a bit of a trek.

Well recommend if peace and quiet with beautiful views are you thing!
Powered grass site
Liked A beautiful, extremely quiet site set in an idyllic village with so much character and history – the local church is so old and beautiful (St Mary’s Church Chediston)
We absolutely loved our break. We stayed Tuesday to Sunday and honestly did not want to pack up and head home – I could have happily lived in this field for several more weeks!
The pitches are very large and flat – Number 3 is ideal as electrics are just behind along with drinking water and a great view of the field with sunshine from sun up to sun down.
We did go to some of the local towns – Southwold and Lowestoft but preferred the quite calm of the more secluded beaches as it was still the height of the summer holidays so we found the lovely beach at Benacre Nature reserve just perfect – along with another stunning old church (St Andrews Church Covehithe) which is definitely worth a visit before erosion swallows it up.
We were pretty much left alone from arrival until we left which we liked, however know that if we needed any assistance or had any questions the owners were on hand and easy contactable.
Lots of lovely quiet local walks with lots of encounters with cute local creatures.
We enjoyed this break so much and would recommend and definitely return
Disliked Dislikes are worth noting, HOWEVER did not take away from our trip and would not stop us returning – more niggles than dislikes.
I do believe the main bathroom could benefit from a good scrub, its got a lot of grime and soap scum on it but is still working and was a lovely hot shower. I do believe that when like minded people find a clean, tidy bathroom they are more likely to clean after themselves (given a tool and a spray) which makes daily maintenance even easier. This was the most peaceful site we have been to but the worst when it came to a clean bathroom.
The other shower rooms were not usable- one did not produce water, other than a trickle and one door didn’t close – for us this was not an issue as there was only a couple of tents and we all seemed to use at different times so perfectly acceptable and as stated a lovely hot shower.
I think if a little effort was added now it would keep this site perfect and stop any comments about this.

As peaceful as paradise should be and not far from the local beaches
Unpowered grass site
Liked A beautiful peaceful location. Only 25 minutes drive from Southwold and other beaches where swimming was a delight. Supermarket only a 7 minute drive away. I walked to Halesworth which was quite pleasant straight from the site. Lovely area for walking in generally. Owners really friendly and helpful.
Disliked Facilities all available and working. All I would say is the showers would benefit from a bit of maintenance and improvement.

Liked Good facilities and lots to near by. Nice big pitches. Accommodating owners. Great live singing evening. Good value for money.

Excellent site, clean facilities and friendly owners. Perfect base.
Unpowered grass site
Liked The site was well placed in order to visit the surrounding Suffolk countryside and beaches. There is a handy Coop for groceries and fuel just 7 min drive away. The toilets and showers were very clean and cleaned every morning. The site itself is spacious and quiet- especially loved hearing the cows in the morning 😀
Disliked One very small observation- could do with a hook in the shower room to hang clothes as the floor gets very wet!

Lovely little private site for adults…
Unpowered grass site
Liked Lovely little private site for adults only. It is tucked away nicely to allow for a quiet camping experience. There was also a bbq and live music being held which was nice. Site is in a good location to go out exploring Southwold, Lowestoft and other local towns and villages.
Disliked Showers were not functioning as they should.

From the manager: We are a campsite with basic facilities, toilets and showers... Our other reviews (and there are many of them) state quite the opposite to this review, so we won't worry too much about it. I did consider removing the toilets and showers completely so that caravans just used their own toilets and emptied them in the chemical disposal point, it would get rid of any bad reviews.... unfortunately would spoil the site for 90% of the happy people.
Lovely clean facilities, Alan and Janet…
Unpowered grass site
Liked Lovely clean facilities, Alan and Janet were amazing hosts. We had a logfire on our first night and they put on music and a bbq on the second night. Great atmosphere and it felt like friends gathered, rather than a campsite. We will be going back same time next year. Thankyou both.

Quiet and friendly but not sure I'd return. Only one shower for all!

Liked The hosts were great, they were welcoming and put on a good show and BBQ for all guests on Sunday.
Disliked Shower facilities were not good, only one of the three available was able to be used. Also, having paid the deposit online, I found it strange that the balance of the site fees had to be paid in cash as they did not have a card facility. I've never known this on a CCC site before. I'm sure it's all above board but it meant finding a cash machine and withdrawing a substantial amount of cash on my credit card with charges incurred for that.
