Unpowered grass caravan site

Liked What a beautiful site!
On entry we were greeted by the pretty fishing lake and ducks with their ducklings, and then the friendly owner who gave us a run down of our choice of pitches. The site is a lovely mix of conventional hard standing and grass pitches, as well as more wild and secluded pitches nearer the back of the site. We were lucky enough to have a huge wild area all to ourselves. We really enjoyed the relaxed attitude without loads of rules written up everywhere, and still everyone was respectful of each other and the site.
The toilet and shower facilities were clean - never busy when I went to use them. There are washing machines and a kitchen on site too.

It was a pleasant walk into Hingham and to the pub, we enjoyed a nice walk around the town.

Disliked Nothing, I would definitely go back and highly recommend if you love a quiet, basic and well kept campsite

Liked A Peaceful Site with a Lovely Vibe – Great for Fishing and Dog-Friendly

We stayed here for my partner’s birthday and had such a wonderful experience. The site is adults-only, dog-friendly, and incredibly peaceful. There’s a beautiful dog walk woven through the far end of the grounds, created by mowing a wild area which was perfect for most dogs, with the option to head out into the surrounding fields for longer exercise. It felt really thoughtful and well designed.

The fishing lakes were well stocked, with lots of successful catches of varying sizes, which made for a great experience. The facilities were just what we needed: a well-equipped utility area, and while the showers and toilets are fairly basic, they were spotless and well maintained throughout our stay.

What stood out most was the atmosphere. The site has a calm, relaxing vibe, and every dog owner we met was responsible and considerate, which added to the sense of community and peace.

Overall, this is a beautiful, tranquil site that I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with great fishing and a welcoming space for dogs.

Power optional concrete slab caravan site

Liked We had a lovely stay here last week. Both of the owners were very helpful with lots of local advice. My other half enjoyed the fishing and we were lucky with the weather.
Hingham was a short walk away and I found a lovely coffee shop there which was excellent.

Disliked The showers and toilets could do with a little update but there was plenty of hot water which was good.

Power optional grass tent site

Liked Rectory Farm is a beautiful site, we had a corner pitch which was next to one of their lakes which was beautiful.
It was a lovely quiet place and there was one duck on the pond that was having an amazing time and laughing at everything! It caused much amusement for us.

Disliked When walking to the facilities I felt like I was walking through people's areas as they were camped at the back and at the front they were fishing on the lake. With the pitches there is no way to get around this.

Local attractions

Once you’ve put down the fishing rod, head to Hingham with the camera to snap some shots of very fashionable houses: Hingham’s popularity with posh Georgians who came here in the 18th-century led to the town being labelled Little London. The eastern side of the market place is said to have the best collection of Georgian houses in Norfolk, perfect for pics and a possible rant about 21st-century property prices (buy a motorhome instead). From Hingham, it’s about 17 miles east to Norwich, Norfolk’s capital town and filled with a capital amount of attractions such as England’s biggest six-day indoor market, the greatly-sized Gothic fountain at the Plantation Garden and the ‘Norwich 12’, 12 listed buildings in the city including stupendous Norwich Cathedral. Keep driving your way east to reach the Norfolk Broads: their 125 miles of navigable waterways are where to go in Norfolk for all things boat, whether you want to try a guided river trip to wildlife spot, hire a boat to drift lazily down the water or take out a canoe for placid paddling. The Broads have several good angling lakes to pick from too, or try sea fishing off the beach from Sea Palling round to the coast at Great Yarmouth. A 45-minute drive from Rectory Farm will bring you to the gorgeous beaches of the north Norfolk coast and the 45 miles of the North Norfolk Coastal Path, going from Hunstanton to Cromer via Wells and Blakeney in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
