  • Friendly no-frills Norfolk site at Belton, with spacious grass pitches
  • A 10-minute drive to The Broads, Gorleston beach and the River Yare
  • Dedicated dog walking area; pub and shop within 10 minutes’ walk
Passing through or staying awhile to explore the Broads, beaches and villages of Norfolk? No matter what your plan for a trip to this area, a friendly welcome awaits all comers at Rose Farm Touring Park, on the edge of the village of Belton and accessed from Belton Country Park. For a day at the beach, Gorleston-on-Sea (only 10 minutes’ drive away) calls with its sweeping sands and watersports activities. Stop by Great Yarmouth, 15 minutes' drive away, too, as this traditional seaside resort has mini-trains along the promenade, shows at Yarmouth Hippodrome and a pleasure beach to look forward to. Rose Farm Touring Park is simple in style but it's immaculately kept, with thoughtful touches like keeping the tidy toilet and shower facilities heated in winter. Dogs are also very welcome to join you on your travels. There are lots of useful amenities close by the site for all your grocery shopping and refreshment needs. A supermarket for stocking up on essentials is five minutes away on foot. There's also a pub 25 minutes' walk away, next to the river Waveney. For your morning brews, a café is just over five minutes' walk away. The motto of the site? Visit for a night and you’re very likely to stay longer…

Liked Shower block at the far end of the site

Disliked Poorly maintained area for touring campers.
Shower and toilet facility was poor re; no drainage for the single shower, no toilet paper in the toilet, bin crammed full and never emptied during our 2 day stay.

Facilities fine. Site in an odd location. Site needs smartening up.

Liked Loved our stay at Rose Farm. The site wardens were both really warm and friendly and helpful. Although we only spent one night there we would definitely return. Perfect location for anyone planning to take part in Gorleston Cliffs parkrun as we did.

Disliked Its not a dislike as such more of an advisory notice to future travellers - the Rose Farm signage has been removed and replaced with Belton Country Park signage to promote the park lodges that have been built on the land in front of the park. As such, we drove past several times, as did another camper too we discovered when talking to him the following day. He was there for parkrun too!

Look out for the iron gates and the signage that looks like a new housing development and you'll find Rose Farm!

Liked The spacious sized pitches. Clean shower and toilet blocks. Quite at night and good distance from the Beach (10 min drive). Great reception on arrival nothing too much for the owners and very helpful.

Disliked No dog walking field and unfortunately a long walk to the toilet block but that being said they weren’t busy in anyway.

Joan and the other staff on site were very friendly and helpful.…

Liked Joan and the other staff on site were very friendly and helpful. The shower/toilet was clean, had a good heater and the hot water was plentiful and never ran cold. Joan was particularly caring and thoughtful with a couple of additional requests that we made by email before arriving... so all in all we had a great stay and would happily stay there again.

Liked Rose farm is a lovely place to stay for a break. Me and the wife stayed over the Easter bank holiday and loved it. Friendly staff very helpful. We will revisit Rose farm in the future

Disliked We had a tent stay next to us and they had a camp fire to close to my caravan for my liking the flames at one point was taller then the caravan. And the smell from it was horrible have me and the wife head ache and that was with the windows closed.

From the manager: Happy to hear that you had a lovely time at Rose Farm but you should have notified us about your neighbours fire pit, so that we could have resolved the situation.

Perfect!

Local attractions

Kids with you? Keep everybody smiling with rollercoaster rides and sea lion shows at Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park (15 minutes' drive), or alternatively wear them all out at BeWILDerwood Norfolk (40 minutes), where you can zipwire through the trees, go on waymarked walks around the marshland and take a boat trip. Other family-centric stops include Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens (25 minutes) for exotic animal spotting, and Redwings Horse Sanctuary (five minutes), where you can cuddle up to more than 100 friendly rescue horses and ponies (it's a particularly great place for kids with special needs). And of course you can all go messing about on boats in The Broads National Park, perhaps hiring a paddleboard for a leisurely potter up the narrow waterways or learning to sail on the River Yare (all 10 minutes away).
