What customers say

Spacious, level pitches w/ power & water, praised for peace & quiet with great views. Good for walks, with a popular dog field & local pubs. Basic but clean facilities, though some said they need a refresh. Self-check-in usually works well, friendly owners. A few found it muddy after heavy rain & lacked info on arrival.

Fully-serviced grass caravan site

Liked We loved the peace and quiet at the site and the surrounding areas. We have visited before and will definitely stay again. The views are stunning and the pitches are large and level with plenty of space. We also liked the grass pitches as so many sites are all gravel these days. The dog exercise area is great too and plenty of footpaths nearby to explore.

Disliked Nothing

Fully-serviced grass caravan site

Liked Well maintained site, pitches well spaced out. Grass cut and site clean and tidy. Quiet location with plenty of space to walk the dog The picnic table outside the caravan was a great addition. The pub walk was less than 10 minutes away and through a field. No roads to tackle. We made good use of that route!

Disliked The toilet block was mixed gender, but the cubicles are open top and bottom which is less private. Personally don't mind mixed gender but want a totally private cubicle. I just feel safer

Fully-serviced grass caravan site

Liked We liked the space ,the peace and quiet and the large, level field with lovely views towards the Malvern Hills. We found our pitch easily from the information board as it is self check-in. We received a welcome from the owner and also an email with a map showing the direction of the nearest pub, beyond which is a common for lovely walks. We cycled to the village of Welland which has a local orchard which is open to anyone and beautifully looked after.
Although the shower and toilet block could do with a make over, everything worked and the water was hot and plentiful.

Disliked I think the only thing I didn’t like was the hand towels by the basins.
The games room could do with a sort out but had plenty of puzzles and books for rainy days!

Fully-serviced grass caravan site

Liked Normally, we really like ‘what it says on the tin’ campsites. An adult-only, no-frills, large pitched, lots of space, access to nice walks, wifi and a good dog walking field and at least one local pub is all good. The communication from the team on the lead up was good… what’s not to like? And yes, the site is all these things. Please don’t let our review put you off… but …

Disliked Normally, we’re not worried about up-to-date amenities and modern facilities, so would be happy with dated 80s shared toilets and showers that we’d read about. However, The Turbles did not match up to the description. Yes, much like the sign, it is very dated and tired, but also, the toilets were not thoroughly cleaned throughout our 4 day stay, they regularly lacked toilet paper and the hand towels remained the same for the duration of our stay. It’s definitely budget, though reasonably expensive for that. We had a nice time - it was what we needed, but also wanted to be honest with our review.

Local attractions

If it feels like you’ve been at Eastnor Castle (10 minutes’ drive) before, it might be because you recognise it from its appearances in films and TV shows such as Succession. Dating from the early 1800s, this Georgian property has elegant rooms hung with tapestries and portraits, plus a deer park and a lake. The spa town of Great Malvern is anchored by Priory Park, a genteel area with a Victorian bandstand (come on a Sunday afternoon in summer for a free concert), a pond crossed by a wooden bridge and lots of picnic spaces. If you want to sample the local waters, take a (steep) hike to St Ann’s Well, on the eastern slope of the Malverns, just above the town. The gardens at National Trust – Croome (20 minutes) were Capability Brown’s first complete design. Take a stroll around admiring this 18th-century landscape gardener’s work, then head to the RAF Defford Museum to learn about the development of radar technology during World War II.
