What customers say

Great spot! Spacious, clean facilities (hot showers!), and friendly staff. The bar, cafe & farm shop are a win with good grub. Lovely views near Bewdley. Downsides: Sat night music can be loud, sometimes busy, and a few had issues with late arrivals or pitch levels.

Unpowered grass tent, campervan or trailer tent site

Liked Great showers and toilet block
Hot showers and super clean toilets

Disliked Unfortunately we was on the bottom field by the fishing pond, 1st tent there Thursday but Friday came and the drunk group parties arrived, no noise after 22:30 was a gimmick the kids were playing football still at 23:30 until I told the parents to get them in we had young kids who were asleep then the drunk adults carried on untill 01:00 then decided to. Say goodnight to each other too of their voices
Same thing again on Saturday night, if your a party of older kids in a family then yes it is a family camp site but if you have younger children then it’s not for you

Liked Staff were extremely helpful, went above and beyond to help and managed to move my trip forward one day very short notice.
Onsite restaurant / bar The Rustic was amazing. Food and drinks were fab! Service excellent.
Farm shop well stocked, ice creams were a hit with the kids too.
Respectful campsite - noise reduced at 10:30pm - 7am which helped for a good nights sleep.

Power optional concrete slab caravan site

Liked Nothing as people rang us up at 16:00 on day asking us what time we was going to turn up as you could not turn up after 9pm

Disliked We got stuck in traffic on M25 and I tried to ring campsite but it just said to ring Warden.
How can we ring the Warden when they don't give you a number. We did not turn up as we was still in traffic on M25. Ok not campsites fault but we had to stay on a Service Station car park. I feel there could have been a bit of flexibility we told them at 16:00 that we were having trouble therefore we lost our money.
They seem obsessed about turning up before 9pm and kept ringing us and it was out of our control. Not very happy with campsite and they should leave a number for Warden on voicemail not door of reception.

Power optional grass tent, campervan or trailer tent site

Liked Lovely relaxed atmosphere, plenty of space, clean bathrooms and nice hot showers

Disliked The entrance and exit barriers on a hill and I could not touch the sensor from my car as I have a left hand drive one. It was each time an athletic race to park the car safely, get out touch the sensor, get in start and drive through before it closed again. Luckily I could follow somebody else several times

Local attractions

The attractions within walking or a few minutes’ driving distance of Hopleys Family Camping will entertain even the most energetic offspring for days: there are animals of all species foreign and domestic to see, a steam railway to sightsee from, woodland trails, tree swinging, mountain biking, canoeing… Start off by taking your little creatures to the West Midlands Safari Park a scanty drive away: as well as the big cats, hippos, meerkats and other members of the menagerie, your wild things can let loose on the rides suitable for all ages (parents too), the Cubs Kingdom for smaller sorts, and thrill rides for white knucklers. If this sounds a little too beastly, the agreeable shops, pubs, cafés, Jubilee Gardens and free museum of Georgian town Bewdley are only a mile from the campsite (the safari park is on its outskirts); you might even see Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant at the tennis or rowing clubs if you put down roots for long enough. Bewdley is surrounded by the Wyre Forest, one of the most ancient woodlands in Britain and also within walking distance of Hopleys. Its three woodland trails – Buzzard, Woodpecker and Wren (with added Gruffalo) – range from a mile long to just over three miles and cover coniferous and deciduous forest, ancient oaks and varying habitats. The Wren/Gruffalo Trail is suitable for buggies and prams. If you’ve got other wheels (or hire them at nearby Bewdley Outdoor Centre), take the blue cycle trail at Wyre through forest tracks and past the old railway line. Swinging and zipwiring among the trees is also available at Wyre Forest via Go Ape! Back at Bewdley, the Severn Valley Railway has its HQ here: hop on to head to Bridgnorth with a stop at Arley and Arley Arboretum’s fairy and dinosaur trails, Italian garden and maze, or go in the other direction to Bodenham Arboretum at Kidderminster, 156 acres of woodland with pools, lakes and an award-winning farm. The line’s Engine House Visitor Centre, and the walks and countryside of the Severn Valley Country Park, can be accessed from Highley station. To explore the Severn Valley by boat (we say aye aye to that), cruise along the Severn in a canoe from Bridgnorth to Bewdley, hire a nearby narrowboat at Stourport-on-Severn, or sail along in style on a riverboat cruise from Upton, Tewskesbury or Worcester.
