What customers say
Generous spots & warm vibe with super helpful staff. Fab location for Shrewsbury town, easy walk along the river. New showers are grouse, but some older loos are a bit basic. Great value & chill vibes too.

Unpowered grass site
Liked Very spacious - great if you have a dog - and convenient for Shrewsbury town centre. Showers and toilets were absolutely fine for me.
Disliked It's a bit scrappy as a campsite but I don't mind this at all.

A good site for visiting Shrewsbury, own facilities preferred.
Powered grass and gravel caravan site
Liked The location is excellent, quiet and easily walkable into Shrewsbury town. The ground is fairly level.
On arrival, the staff were friendly and helpful.
The showers cubicles were large and contained a toilet. The water was hot and stayed on, without having to constantly press a button.
Disliked The ladies' toilets were filthy when we arrived (early afternoon) and had not been cleaned the following morning. Later in that second day a poor attempt was made at cleaning them, still leaving marks in the bowls, dirty floors and very little toilet paper, most cubicles having none. One cubicle was shut, another leaking from the cistern inlet, wetting two floors. Another was unusable as the pull chain was broken and discarded on the floor.
The design of the cubicles was unsatisfactory. The doors opened into small cubicles so that to exit meant wiping your legs on the toilet bowl. Many ladies will know exactly what I mean by this, as it's all too common. There was no handsoap at the hand-wash bowl, although there was some in the two washing booths. The hand driers were inadequate. All this is unacceptable for a site costing £35 per night.

Not good, won't be back
Powered grass site
Liked Convenient for the town centre
Disliked Signage for reception not clear (opposite direction to pitches)
Ladies Toilet block very shabby, smelly, doors wouldn't lock, no toilet paper....(wife's comments)
No where to hang towels in shower area - heated towel rail rusty and wet with condensation.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.
The reception is in the middle of our campsite and is sign posted as such - the whole site is the campsite and therefore is central to all pitches.
We appreciate all constructive feedback. Our team is on site throughout the day and always happy to address any concerns when they are reported. We would always encourage guests to speak with us directly at the time rather than only raising concerns afterwards in a review, as this gives us the opportunity to put things right straight away.
We appreciate your comments and will continue to provide the best possible experience for all our visitors.
