  • Small, peaceful Shropshire Hills site for CAMC members only
  • Church Stretton, Caer Caradoc and Wenlock Edge 15 minutes' drive
  • Breakfast available on site; village pub a mile away with good food
If you've got your eye on a break in the Shropshire Hills National Landscape and you’re in possession of a Caravan and Motorhome Club membership, take a look at the peaceful spot that is Woodside Farm Certified Location. Open only to CAMC members (plus associated kids and dogs), this quiet rural site has just a handful of spacious, level touring pitches with fabulous views over the surrounding hills. It’s all very low key and simple here, with electric hook-ups for each pitch and basic shared facilities including a water tap, a chemical disposal point and an outdoor garden toilet. The main farmhouse is now run as a B&B, and touring guests are welcome to book in here for breakfast if they wish. The peaceful atmosphere here is partly brought about by the location, along a quiet single-lane track where you’re unlikely to encounter very much traffic at all. Access to the site is good though, with a gate that’s been widened to allow easy entrance and exit for touring vehicles. The feeling of being well away from everything is one of the selling points here – but you needn’t worry about being cut off. The village of Cardington is about a mile away, with a pub that’s known for its good food and beer, and it’s a 15-minute drive to Church Stretton for shops and places to eat. Time to explore? Set your sights on some of the area’s best hillwalks at the likes of Caer Caradoc and Wenlock Edge or spend some time pottering around towns like Shrewsbury and Ludlow.
