Budget priced "no frills" campsite, but with the addition of clean, modern facillities unobtrusively tucked away. There you will find coin operated showers and a washing up area with a free hot water supply There is a pure borehole water supply on the campfield which is serviced annually. If you just want to convene with nature in the ancient "Wren's Nest Wood" or explore the local area - there opportunities for both. The campsite is situated a short 10 minute walk from the Southern end of the Longmynd and the wide open spaces of the plateau and there are paths in every direction for you to enjoy. If mountain biking is your thing - you can risk your limbs down the famous Minton Batch, after which you could take a cooling dip in the reservoir in Carding Mill Valley, Church Stretton.

Route directions

From the A49, the B4370 at Marshbrook over the level crossing, Proceed for approximately 3 kms and when the road levels out, take the minor road signed Priors Holt, Churchmoor and Hamperley. Drive along this road for a short distance and you will come across Hamperley Campsite on the right hand side. DO NOT confuse the nearby wild camping signs - there is no connection.
