What customers say
A ripper spot near Oxford for a peaceful, spacious getaway. Travellers raved about the generous pitches for privacy, the sweet riverside location for a dip, and the top hosts & farm dogs. Basic but clean facilities. A few noted the walk to the dunny & compost loos, but it's a cracker for a nature escape.

Peaceful location, small number of pitches…
Eco unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked Peaceful location, small number of pitches makes it very quiet, as close to wild camping as you’ll get.

Beautiful little spot.
Freedom unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Spacious pitches, beautiful river spot, clean portaloos, warm showers, fab little farm shop, quiet, informative information on the area and places to eat and drink. Loved it and will be returning particularly for the wild swimming!
Disliked Showers were a little mouldy and one shower did not work but plenty others to choose from. Toilets were quite far for campers on the other side of the field.

Loved the wildness and the distance…
Freedom unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Loved the wildness and the distance between each pitch. Loved the Holt area and the wild swimming spots. Loved the look of the eco pitches - I will return and will be booking one of those for sure. Loved the red kites (?) circling above the fields. Loved the walk to the pub.
Disliked That the distance between the pitches and the toilets meant that many campers chose to drive their cars to the toilets and back again.

Lovely four legged welcome and then…
Freedom unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely four legged welcome and then given a quick rundown of the site and directions to my pitch. I booked a Freedom pitch which was massive and felt very private. Facilities well maintained with everything you need (water/toilet/shower facilities). Definitely will book again.

Beautiful site, amazing value for Money, Welcoming management.
Eco unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked Well what can I say, what a beautiful, tranquil campsite… Stayed for 4 nights with 4 children and didn’t leave the site once… kayaking and wild swimming, enough room on our pitch to play a game of rounders..
Perfect site for our family. Hot showers, clean toilets and lots of open space.
We didn’t stay on the eco pitch due to a booking error with pitch up but Fi managed to accommodate us else where, Fi is super friendly and inviting and available whenever we had a question.
If you love nature and like a quiet campsite with lots of space this is a gem…..
Disliked Wasp’s…. If you decide to go take some wasp repellent, they were pests when preparing food and eating, we found burning coffee helped keep them away….

Would recommend a visit
Freedom unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Yes the site is basic , with long grass and minimal facilities. but this was as I expected. As others have said the spacing between pitches is massive. I was here in a heat wave and school holidays but it was so peaceful . No problem with the heat as the nearby river is excellent for cooling off and then having a rest in the hammocks in the shade. Toilets were festival style but clean and tidy. I will come back again
Disliked Nothing ! If you want a summer camp packed with activities and amenities , with screaming kids running amok , and packed in like sardines then dont come here!

This is my second visit…
Freedom unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked This is my second visit to D’Oyleys farm within the month and found it very relaxing especially on an evening listening to the many owls and the muntjac deer that’s in the area.
