Liked: The site is ideal as a touring base for local attractions such as Silverstone etc.
Disliked: Our passion is to stay at a site with local areas to walk with our dog. This site advertised walks along the Oxford canal based a 20 minute walk away. What was not made clear on the site description was that involved a walk down a dangerous, busy road with blind bends and no footpath on either side of the road. Indeed on the literature given by the owner on arrival, he offers the loan of hi-vis clothing which again is not mentioned before getting there. He is obviously aware of the danger involved, but not very forthcoming about advertising the fact. We left the site after only one night, moving on to another location which suited our requirements better. Apart from that the facilities on offer were adequate though the water in the washing up area could have been hotter. We never used the shower, but it seemed fine.

From the manager: Thanks for taking the time to give a review, not all reviews are positive, like not all people are the same, I hope you sorted out your water pump I know that really annoyed you as it was making a "funny noise". Yes you are correct the road can be a bit of a nightmare especially the bend, I have been in touch with the highways people but they don't seem to take any notice, I don't think they are over concerned, I pointed out there is a public footpath opposite, but you were correct in saying that it was muddy, yes we do loan Hiviz if people require, and now if anyone wants a pair of welly boots we can lend them as well, The washing up area hot water is set to a temperature adequate to wash dishes, and not too hot to scald anyone, but can be increased if thought necessary.
