What customers say
This large, well-placed park has roomy, flat spots, great for families and groups. Close to the National Water Sports Centre and Notts. Facilities are okay, but cleanliness and modernised loos/showers need a spruce-up. Some noise on weekends. Basic shop. Despite a few niggles, many would come back.
Summary AI-generated from Pitchup.com customer reviews

Ok for a base for somewhere to park and sleep morning mode.

Liked We booked a hard standing without realising it was fully hard standing with any grass around. In arriving we realised it would not be suitable as it was loose stone with a baby, 8 year old and a dog. After going to reception we managed to switch to a grass pitch.
Disliked Facilities were horrendous, unclean full of cobwebs (watch your head!) even after them been apparently cleaned you wouldn’t think so.
Site advertises there is an amazing looking play park, in fact there is a small wooden one for younger children. The large play park is a 15 / 20 min walk away from the camp site passed the water, and up near the activity centre.
Has a very basic shop, but don’t rely on it as there isn’t much.
There is not a lot to do on the site. Maintenance prefer to remove the rope swings and stick built dens that children built because they where bored seen as the big park was not near by then clean up the massive amount of litter around site or spend a little more time cleaning the toilets/showers.
Has a massive amount of potential with the right management to arrange it.

Liked Lovely site & stayed in a camping arch which was ok, water sports activity centre on the doorstep & had a lovely walk around the lake while there.
Disliked Toilet block wasn't great, sanitary bins were full & some overflowing , not all the toilets had toilet paper..all could do with being updated.

Liked Large grass area around pitch. Nearby country park is great for kids.
Disliked Toilets disgusting. We were only there for one night luckily but would have struggled to stay longer with how unclean other campers left toilets/showers - needed cleaning more regularly

Liked Clean site. Big.
Disliked Given a numbered pitch, someone already in it. Asked to go into the one next to it, only to have the occupants of that pitch return hours later. Cue having to move everything to yet another pitch. Could have been solved if staff has moved original people in wrong one or bothered to check that other pitch was available.
