Spacious site

  • Peaceful family-friendly rural site in the Lincolnshire Fens
  • A 15-minute drive from Boston and 40 minutes from Lincoln
  • Top spot for aviation fans: 15 minutes’ drive from RAF Coningsby
Up for peaceful stays full of adventure, exploration and… plane spotting? You’re onto a winner at Bailey Bridge Farm, a family-friendly site 15 minutes’ drive from Boston, Lincolnshire. This is aviation country, 15 minutes from RAF Coningsby and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitors Centre. Airplane anoraks should pack binoculars and settle in next to Coningsby to watch the jets zoom by, nosedive into the history at the Battle of Britain memorial site, or head to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, 25 minutes away in East Kirkby, for rides in a Lancaster bomber. Prefer to stay close to the ground? This is the Lincolnshire Fens, so it doesn’t get much flatter than this. That makes bike rides (the site is located on National Cycle Route 1 from Hull to Harwich), hikes and countryside rambles a cinch for all ages and fitness levels. There are trails to follow at Jenny’s Wood, less than 15 minutes away, while more ambitious guests can head in to Woodhall Spa, 20 minutes away, to join the long-distant Viking Way. When a (relatively) lazier time is required, stick around on site to take in the countryside views or bask in the peace. Round off your day with fresh-from-the-barbecue eats, then settle in next to the campfire for cosy and quiet evenings browsing the farm's fast fibre broadband.

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Love the location and how quiet it was and how nothing over looked over the camp & the general appearance of the site. Very clean and tidy. We had electric hook up for an extra £5 a night totally worth it £50 for 2 nights and electric.

Susan and mick were amazing host and made us feel very welcome and happy to see us and had a catch up with us to make sure we were happy and everything was ok.
Toilet was clean and tidy and everything as needed if washing up and the shower made me laugh…a pop up tent and tbh it’s a amazing little thing & it was amazing…shower ,since our stay we have now purchased the same for our next camping trip. A very good purchase.

Definitely recommend and lovely walks through the public walk ways and can go on for miles. We visited Skegness and we came on the hottest days of the year and it wasn’t too busy

Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Quiet campsite with a very welcoming host.

Power optional grass caravan site

Liked Susan was the perfect host at Bailey Bridge campsite and could not do enough to ensure your stay is a comfortable one, the site has beautiful farmland views all round but is close enough to visit places of interest with little effort.
We had plenty of birds to watch whilst relaxing in the quiet surroundings including a small owl that visited many times over the three days we stayed.

Power optional grass caravan site

Liked A lovely quiet site. Surrounded by glorious countryside.
The site has a summerhouse, with chairs, tea and coffee, for days when you dont want to stay in tent/camper. There are also games and books for you to use, also a fridge. Decking outside summerhouse, with a wood burning stove.
Toilet and washing pots area
The couple who run this gem of a site are lovely.
Water, waste and electric hookup also available.

Susan and Mick were both lovely! We wanted to hire a fire…

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Susan and Mick were both lovely! We wanted to hire a fire pit which they take £3 in cash for, was very helpful and allowed us to bank transfer. Facilities are great, they even have coffee and biscuits available!

From the manager: Thank you . Fire pits are actually free but we do charge £3.00 for a net of logs , including paper and sticks .

Will certainly be returning.

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Susan & Mick are fabulous hosts.
Very informative and helpful.
Facilities were clean and plentiful.
Level pitches, with lots of space.
Phone signal is better in the evening.
Lots of outdoor toys for everyone to use (balls & rackets, foot ball & goals, seesaw and swing ball)

Disliked We had a noisy young couple opposite us arguing, slamming doors and fighting each other unfortunately. But this does not reflect the establishment or owners. This was just an unfortunate situation.

From the manager: Unfortunately the internet wasn’t working out there this last week but it will be back on shortly . We are very sorry and wished you had alerted us to the problem , we are available 24 hours a day . They were first time campers . Normally would have been put further away but due to the windy weather we try to get people in small tents a bit of shelter .

Beautiful, peaceful site perfect for getting away from the rat race.

Unpowered grass caravan site

Liked This quiet peaceful site is a hidden jem. Beautiful little spot with well kept pitches and grounds. I spent the whole afternoon and evening beside a big old Ash tree watching the Hares play and the sunset. Owners were welcoming and informative. As a tent camper I really liked the fact that the site is no over lit which is more conducive to a goods night sleep. Facilities are clean and the little clubhouse is a great addition. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be returning.

Liked Great location. Quiet and Peaceful. Birdsong and trees. Open space. Clean Loo, and wash facilities. Ran by a very nice couple, with great welcome. Outstanding value for money. Charming, and relaxing site. Highly recommended. Welcome Cylclist and Motorcyclists alike. Summerhouse (big shed) with fridge, seating, Microwave, wifi, toaster and kettle. I loved the place.

Disliked Can't think of anything.

Power optional grass caravan site

Liked Location for ourselves was brilliant, set off the road, lovelygrassed pitch which provided us with the peace and quiet that we were after. Exceeded our expectations, very clean outdoor w/c with large wash hand basin and cleaning station with sink, plentiful hot water and cleaning products. Also a wooden summerhouse for campers, bikers, cyclists with microwave, tv, comfy chairs, outdoor fire and seating. I borrowed a book and just relaxed outside our van. The owners Mick and Susan made ourselves and our dog very welcome and showed me a cycle route I could do directly from the campsite, just perfect, Can't wait to go back .

Disliked Nothing to dislike if like ourselves want a peaceful, relaxing retreat.

enjoyed my stay, begining of may 2025, love the lack of traffic…

Local attractions

Start explores with a jaunt into Boston, a 15-minute drive from base, to gape at the (rumoured) highest non-cathedral church tower in the world at St Botolph’s, wander through the free museum, clamber aboard a boat for a cruise along the river, or catch the Boston Belle for a seal-spotting trip to the Wash National Nature Reserve. For a taste of history, there’s plenty to entice hereabouts: the 15th-century moated Tattershall Castle should get things started about 10 minutes away, and Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens and the oh-so-pretty Gunby Hall are within 40 minutes. More intriguing options include the Bubblecar Museum (10 minutes) and the spectacularly decorated Kinema in the Woods (20 minutes), believed to be the only UK cinema still using rear projection. Stick to the historical with a trip to Lincoln, 40 minutes from the site, to explore its 11th-century castle, roam its medieval Bishop’s Palace, glide around its cathedral and view one of just four copies of the Magna Carta. (There are plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and theatres to venture into too…) Prefer wildlife to city walls? Make a visit to the Ark Wildlife Park and Rescue Zoo for close encounters with lemurs, meerkats, llamas and lizards, or flap over to RSPB Frampton Marsh for some birdwatching – both are 25 minutes from base.
