A quiet, tidy adults-only spot with top-notch hosts, Jo and Carl. Fab fishing lakes and spotless private showers. Handy location with shops nearby and nice walks. Some say better lighting and an extra loo on the touring field would be great.

Liked Set between the Beautiful forest trees and the calm fishing lakes in a little sun spot. Well kept grounds, friendly & helpful staff. Pay as you electric, simple to use and fairly priced. Easy access for the fishing pegs, tackle shop on site

Liked Beautiful site, so picturesque. Large gravel pitch. Lovely fishing ponds. Toilets immaculate. Peaceful. Short walk into the village with pubs, shops, food outlet. We had a Chinese delivered to the site entrance :-) Owner friendly and really helpful. Can't wait to return!

Liked Very helpful and friendly owner. 3 beautiful lakes for fishing. Adults only so no screaming kids. Clean and very tidy shower and toilets with regular width toilet paper.

Liked We recently stayed for 2 nights in our motorhome. What a fantastic site. The grounds with the 3 fishing lakes are absolutely beautiful and well kept. Very peaceful and relaxing . The pitches are very spacious and private and level . Showers and toilets exceptional. There is a pine forest behind the site which is nice for a walk and has a world war 2 bunker. Another bonus is the short walk into the village . One of the best sites we have stayed on and we will be returning. The owners can’t do enough for you .

Local attractions

Wildlife lovers can head for Donna Nook (five minutes’ drive), an area of low-lying land known for its abundant birdlife – and if you’re visiting in October, you may also get to see the colony of grey seals that gathers on the beach to breed. At other times of the year, seals can be more reliably seen in The Seal Sanctuary Wildlife Centre (15 minutes) along with other rescue animals including goats and otters. Days on the beach might include the seafront expanse at Mablethorpe (20 minutes), with its aquapark, seafront cycling routes and generous number of cafés and pubs. As well as a sweep of sand, Cleethorpes (half an hour) has a wonderfully restored Victorian-era pier, a golf course and ornamental gardens. Heading inland, the market town of Louth (20 minutes) is known for its antiques emporiums and indie boutiques. Don’t forget that the hills and vales of the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape (15 minutes) reveal scenic bike rides and walking trails, while there are more gentle strolls to be had in Hubbard’s Hills country park (25 minutes).
