  • Smart lakeside accommodation on a peaceful Lincolnshire farm
  • A 10 minute-drive from Chapel Point; 15 minutes from Moggs Eye
  • Well-stocked two-acre fishing lake and on-site equestrian facilities
Whether you seek fishing or beach days, Field Farm is a splendid place to set down roots for a while. This holiday park is based on the site of a former dairy farm and although cows no longer call these green meadows home, you're sure to spot plenty of four-legged animals when out and about on site – the site also has a comprehensive range of equestrian facilities. Fishing fans among you will also be pleased to find out that there’s a large and well-stocked fishing lake, where close to 6000 bream, roach, rudd, carp and tench can be found swimming about. Best of all, fishing is free for those staying the night at Field Farm. The accommodation on offer here is well kitted-out for outdoorsy hols: each unit has a large timber bed, TV, sofa and plenty of throws, rugs and blankets to keep you warm at night. There's also a logburning stove on hand for extra warmth if need be. Loos and showers are in a separate building nearby. Private kitchen facilities are also available, making holiday meal prep that little bit easier. While it's always handy to have the option of self-catered stays, there's also much to be said for fish and chips at one of the several seaside towns nearby. The sights and sounds of the beach are within easy reach of this well-located spot – the nearest can be accessed on foot via a quiet green lane and is about a mile away from site. Inland explores will also be on your radar – the historic town of Alford is 15 minutes’ drive, while the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is 20 minutes away.

What customers say

This spot's a stunner with spick-and-span, comfy, well-kitted-out pods and domes. Campers loved the chill vibes, cracking surrounds for walks & fishing, and the top-notch, helpful staff. Most had a ripper time, though a few copped some rude staff and a dry spell for firewood. No Wi-Fi/signal was noted by some.

Liked The glamping dome was spacious with a seating area and comfy bed. The lighting in the dome made it feel very cosy in the evenings.
The facilities were great having the cooking shed just behind equipped with a cooker, hob and fridge/freezer.
The fishing on site was brilliant catching 10 carp in just a couple hours.
All in all a fantastic place to stay and somewhere i'd look to come back to in the future.

From the manager: Thanks for the review.

We are not rude we just do not like disrespectful guests such as yourself.

You arrive at 7.30 PM with a 5th person, the pods only accommodate 4 people, you just assumed it would be ok and when we said no you was the one raising your voice and being rude. You did not pay for any logs therefore you didn’t receive them, by time YOU realised it was past 10pm and you then was demanding shouting down the phone at my staff.

I hope leaving me a 4 on a review makes you feel better for your disgusting behaviour. You forgot to mention that this was your 3rd time coming because we have sat with you and your son for a few hours each time teaching you how to fish, just because you didn’t get your own way you throw your toys out the pram like a child. You are not welcome to site again.

Wonderful stay. Everything thought of. Lovely and clean. We will be back…

Local attractions

You won’t find any other purpose-built marine observatory in the UK, and it’s only 10 minutes’ drive from here. The Chapel Point North Sea Observatory will help you to spy on the birdlife and the sea, with binoculars available from the café. Once you've finished your wildlife-spotting, there’s a different kind of adventure at Fantasy Island (10 minutes' drive), where you’ll soon be flying in the sky yourself on the rollercoasters. There’s plenty of seaside fun around Skegness – or try Moggs Eye beach (15 minutes), a more remote sandy stretch with dunes and plenty of room for swimming or a game of beach volleyball. With 'On Your Marques' Model Car Museum (10 minutes) and Alford Windmill (15 minutes) so close by, you’ll soon be in the mood for more historical adventures. Handily, the National Trust’s Gunby Estate (20 minutes) has some sublime Victorian gardens and the 18th-century house or you could take a walk around the medieval walls at Lincoln Castle (an hour).
