Liked: The facilities on this site are excellent. There are lovely showers which are clean and warm. There is also a free dog wash area, which was a godsend after a walk in the woods. No muddy pawprints in our caravan!
The reception staff were friendly and welcoming.
The woods were amazing, with some wildlife (not as much as we had hoped but maybe they are all building nests) and we explored them every day.
The lake was great and we saw many good sized fish so will have to bring our fishing gear next time.
There is an onsite bar, which we didn't use but it was clean and obviously popular. It wasn't open late so there was no late night noise to contend with.
The whole site was really clean and the static part really well laid out.
They are busy building some lodges with hot tubs around another lake, so that will be great.
The touring pitch wasn't that big but it was close to everything.
Disliked: The showers could do with a floor squeegee in each cubicle to save getting wet trousers when getting dressed. There is no partition between shower and dry part so the water splashes over with no way of drying it off.
The touring pitches could do with some hardstanding. The entrance to the field could be better with some gravel or tarmac as it was quite churned up.
These are just suggestions that would make it better.
