  • Laidback pop-up site on a coastal Lincolnshire farm
  • 10 minutes’ walk to sandy beaches; 10 miles from Skegness
  • Family- and dog-friendly site with plenty of space to run around
Wake up a short wander from the Lincolnshire coast with a stay at Creekside Family Camping in Anderby. This site is 10 minutes’ walk from the beach at Anderby Creek and about 20 minutes’ walk from Wolla Bank, with the added bonus of being surrounded by the wildlife haven of the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park. The family has farmed this land for three generations and are happy to share insider tips on where to go and what to do when you visit. If it's traditional seaside shenanigans you're after – fairgrounds, arcades, donkey rides and all the rest – Ingoldmells and Skegness are along the coast within about 20 minutes’ drive. Roll up at this relaxed site and chose your own pitch on the meadow, surrounded by mature hedges and trees. It’s family and dog-friendly with plenty of space to run around and play with a separate field for ball games. If you need provisions or fancy an easy bite to eat, there’s a bar and restaurant, café and general store by the beach at Anderby Creek. Firepits, wood and kindling are available on site and you’re welcome to set up a small campfire so you can gather round, sit back and enjoy the huge Lincolnshire skies. The stars at night are usually quite something, and there's only minimal interference from the fairy lights around the place (a torch is a handy thing to have though…). This may be a pop-up site but it's got the vibe of a glamping setup, all decked out with bunting and pretty decorations. Guests have access to proper ceramic flushing loos, a portable shower block with proper showers, drinking water points, a washing-up area, phone charging point, freezer for ice blocks and a dog wash.

Unpowered grass site

Liked The ease of checking, with the bulletin board with the name and pitch number, with tags and welcome note in the envelope. The Hub with the Honesty box for logs, eggs and a massive amount of books and board games to borrow during your stay. Also being less than 1 kilometer from the beach with a dedicated permissive path to avoid having to walk along the road.

Disliked Waking up to a dry tent, only for it to then start raining 5 minutes later :P, Seriously the site was amazing and i can't fault anything.

Everything, especially clean toilets and doggy wash.…

Liked After picking our 13 year old up, after school, we headed out to Creekside. Friday afternoon traffic to the coast looked heavy, so we took the scenic route and arrived before 6pm.

On our arrival we found that reception was unmanned, slight panic ensued! But there was no need as we soon found an envelope for our attention on the arrivals board!

Our camper (Clara) was hooked up in seconds, and off we went to explore.

Creekside has all you need for a great break. Two sets of facilities blocks, which we clean and well equipped. A Kitchen Pop-up area, with lots of seating (Friday - Fish and Chips, Saturday - Artisan Pizza). Breakfast was offered each morning.

A cabin with a book / games library, which also offered self service shop for firewood, marshmallows, cold drinks and ice (honesty box and digital payment options). Fire pits available to borrow for free.

Another cabin offered laundry facilities. Dog wash areas.

A huge fenced off paddock for exercising your dogs (Dachshund escape proof), with a myriad of toys to borrow.

A short walk on a permissive path leads to the hidden gem that is Anderby Creek beach, half a mile away. You pass two caravan parks, one of which has a mini-mart open until 6pm if you’ve forgotten any essentials (where are the tea bags Helen!?!).

A wonderful and friendly site, inhabited by the solo campers, young groups, families and seasoned campers alike. Enough space for everyone to do their own thing, without encroaching on others.

I have mobility issues and found Creekside to be perfectly accessible for all my needs.

As for value, well two nights at Creekside with electric hookup cost significantly less than one night in a well known budget hotel chain (Travel Lodge, ahem). Cheaper than a McDonalds / Starbucks drive through, with a diva / princess teen and 2 Dachshunds! 10/10 on value for money!

Creekside was perfect for our inaugural trip in Clara (our van conversion).

Disliked Trundling off (with the freely provided trolley cart) to fill our fresh water tank at the facilities block, only to find a freshwater stand pipe 4 metres from our pitch on our our return.

Damn you Creekside, I should have known you had us covered!

No wifi offered, thank goodness, but we still had enough 5G signal to stream the Women’s Euros England v France Game (although we won’t mention the score).

I would have really liked to have seen someone on site, to have thanked you for providing such a wonderful haven! However, as a working farm, I realise how busy you must all be.

Spacious, clean site with great dog facilities and weekend food options

Liked We had a great stay at this campsite! The showers and toilets were clean and well-maintained, with great facilities overall – although the water temperature could be a bit temperamental at times.

One of the standout features was how dog-friendly the site is – the dog wash, dog parking areas, and enclosed dog field were fantastic and a real selling point for anyone bringing their furry friend along.

We also enjoyed the fish & chip van on Friday night, and the kitchen being open on weekend mornings and Saturday evenings was a nice bonus for a hot meal without the hassle.

The site itself is huge with loads of space, which made it feel really relaxed even when it was busy. All in all, a great experience – would happily return!

Liked Great site, clean toilets and shower blocks. Everything easy to get too. Plenty of space between allocated pitches. Really good site 👍

Disliked Not anyone’s fault, but quite a few flies 🪰 not a complaint as it’s part of being outdoors. But still not pleasant.

Local attractions

The wild sand dunes of Anderby Creek beach are a 10-minute stroll away. In the summer it splits into dog-free and dog-friendly areas, so there’s space for everyone. More beachy gems within 10 minutes’ drive include Huttoft, Wolla Bank, Marsh Yard, Chapel Six Marshes and Chapel Point. Holiday big-hitters Ingoldmells (10 minutes’ drive) and Skegness (20 minutes) are filled with all the attractions you’d expect from a traditional British seaside resort and have enough to keep the whole family happy whatever the weather. There’s more family fun to be had in Mablethorpe at Lincolnshire Aqua Park (20 minutes) with pedalos, paddleboarding, kayaks and a giant floating assault course for the more adventurous. Keen walkers should connect up with the Lincolnshire Coastal Path; a 20-mile walk from Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve in Skegness past the site to Mablethorpe. Birders will want to check out Anderby Coastal Grazing Marsh too (two minutes’ walk). And if the lure of the coast isn’t enough, there are also walking routes inland around the Lincolnshire Wolds and Hubbards Hills (30 minutes' drive).
