  • Peaceful waterside touring site at Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire
  • Symonds Yat 15 minutes’ drive and Tintern Abbey 35 minutes
  • Dog-friendly grass pitches with electric hook-ups; two lakes on site
A stay at Herefordshire’s peaceful and oh-so-prettily landscaped Broadmeadow Caravan Park puts you in pole position for explorations of the neighbouring counties of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Monmouthshire – on both sides of the English-Welsh border. Tucked into a quiet lakeside corner of the lively market town of Ross-on-Wye, the touring site has spacious and level grass pitches equipped with electric hook-ups. Handily positioned water taps and waste-disposal points ensure convenience throughout your stay, along with two well-appointed toilet and shower blocks with wheelchair-accessible and family facilities. Please note that during quieter periods, one block may be closed. You can stroll the extensive grounds around the two on-site lakes, and anyone with an interest in fishing may well take up lakeside residence free of charge for the duration of their stay. Sporting facilities in Ross include an indoor swimming pool and gym (good rainy-day ideas), a putting green and tennis courts. Within a radius of about 20 minutes’ drive, you can also play golf, go pony trekking, canoeing, fishing, cycling or mountain biking, see a film, have a flutter on the horses and take river cruises along the Wye.

What customers say

Broadmeadows gets a big tick for super clean facilities, spacious, level sites, and a peaceful vibe. Great location for walking into Ross-on-Wye. Staff are friendly and helpful. Entrance might be a bit industrial, but the site itself is highly recommended for a relaxing break. Many keen to come back.

Liked A great site within easy walking distance of centre of Ross on Wye with numerous pubs and restaurants. Plenty of showers and toilets that were spotlessly clean at all times, plenty of grey waste points. Can’t fault the arrival process, all very organised and friendly. Ignore the comments about having to drive through an industrial estate…

Liked Location. Don’t be put off by entrance. It is a pretty site with views of trees. There are fishing lakes with lots of ducks and wildlife. Very handy to explore town and riverside. This is a well organised site with Immaculate facilities. Very neat and tidy everywhere. Spacious pitches with lots of service points. We were able to drive on to the pitch and drive away without any reversing of the caravan involved.

Disliked Very slight road noise from nearby A40. We didn’t notice this at night.

Liked This is a well kept site with plenty of toilets and shower cubicles.

On arrival, in reception we were given a leaflet which I thought was perfect as it outlined all the information regarding local amenities etc.. we were then shown to our bitch by a gentleman on a golf buggy.. we were thankful we didn’t have to worry about trying to find our pitch!!

Ross town centre is a short 10-15min walk (leisurely pace for a young family). Morrisons is literally a stone throw and even Aldi and Sainsbury’s are a little further. We also saw a co-op, so really spoilt for choice.

Wasn’t overly busy when we stayed which was last week for 6nights. I was sad to leave as we had a great experience here.

Disliked The only thing I can say is I would have preferred for the shower to have abit more pressure coming through but that’s personal preference.

Liked Easy to find and great location. It had a rural feel but was within walking distance of all local amenities.
The shower blocks and toilets were clean and the washing up room had plenty of wash stations to use.
There is a convenient dog walk next to the site.

Liked Really lovely setting, the addition of the field with the pond was great and felt very serene. Overall the campsite was tidy, clean and picturesque. Toilet and shower facilities were great - one of the best i've seen! Can walk through into Ross-on-Wye and also close to other attractions such as Athur's Cave, Symonds Yat etc.

Disliked The industrial estate was the only downside but you feel like you've been transported into a different place once you step through the campsite's barriers!
