Rose Villa Farm is a friendly rural campsite on a family farm surrounded by the green fields of Herefordshire. Set in a convenient location on the edge of the small village of Marden, this peaceful spot has some truly great views over open countryside plus easy access to walking trails and the banks of the river Lugg. These well-maintained pitches are located in a farm field that's just a few minutes' walk from a small local shop (open on Friday afternoons), where you can pick up local produce and takeaway food. A post office and a popular pub and restaurant can also be reached within about half a mile on foot. (This is a simple spot, with no facilities except portable toilets, so being on the edge of the village is handy indeed.) For anything else, Hereford town centre (15 minutes' drive) should have what you're looking for. Rose Villa Farm has a laidback approach to outdoor breaks, welcoming campfires, barbecues and dogs throughout the camping season. Looking for a site where you can roam farther afield? This could well be it, as Rose Villa Farm is within easy reach of three areas of outstanding natural beauty – the Wye Valley (20 minutes), the Malvern Hills (30 minutes) and the Shropshire Hills (35 minutes) – and within comfortable driving distance of the Brecon Beacons National Park (45 minutes).
