What customers say

Pods, lodges & safari tents are neat, comfy & well-equipped with good showers. Staff are friendly & the vibe's peaceful. Watch out for rocky paths & a lack of heating for some. Towels cost extra too.

Microlodge

Liked Loved the quirky accommodation, very well thought out and fun. The site was well looked after and a really lovely spot. Saw lots of rabbits! The footpath to the shops and to the arboretum was a really nice walk, away from traffic.

Disliked Nothing I disliked, but cooking is tricky in the small space with little work surface, so takeaways and ready meals did the trick for us!

Liked It was all very clean and well looked after. We stayed in one of the pods and the facilities were spot on for us. Kids were sad that I hadn't booked it for longer and I've had to promise we will return :)

Microlodge

Liked When I arrived, my glamping pod, Wheatear, was a cozy piece of heaven. It was easy for me to unpack, settle, and feel at home. I enjoyed the Cadbury Hot Chocolate mix, especially with the horrid wind and rainstorm that came through the country! The Murphy Bed was easy to pull down and put back up. It was very comfortable to sleep on. The shower was soothing and big enough for me (I'm a plus-size woman). The pod did not move during the evening galeforce winds unless the winds came at the pod at a corner. I loved to hear the soothing sounds of the rain coming down. I also like how every pod had its own parking spot.

Disliked 1.) The 'radiator-like' heater was not putting out the heat and it would not stay on. It would turn off and on. It also didn't put out the heat needed. I had to use both of the blankets to help keep me warm when I slept.

2.) The purchasing of towels.

3.) The rocky paths to the pods. It may look aesthetically pleasing, but when pulling the carts with heavy bags, it's a big struggle!

4.) Bigger blankets to cover the bed.

2 bedroom safari tent

Liked Staff were very friendly, everywhere was kept nice, tidy and clean. We stayed in the safari tent and it was perfect for my family. The bins were emptied regularly so no rubbish was left anywhere and the showers and toilets were cleaned daily so always very clean. Great facilities, great spacing, great staff… all in all it was the perfect place to stay. Thank you!

Local attractions

Surely it’s the country walks that beckon first off, and a good place to start is the Moreton-in-Marsh circular walk, which links the site with Bourton-on-Water and Sezincote, passing churches, the exotic Indian-inspired Sezincote House and Longborough’s opera house en route. If you’ve got limited time or fancy a different mode of getting the miles in, summon a driver from Cotswold Tuk Tuk Tours (15 minutes’ drive) or get behind the wheel of something sizeable on the four wheel drive circuits at Mud Mayhem (15 minutes). Around a half-hour walk from the site (or five-minute drive) are Batsford Arboretum, for garden strolls and craft workshops, and the excellent Cotswold Falconry Centre, where you can see the big birds in action or sign up to handle them yourself. There are oodles of pretty villages around the Cotswolds, but also several big sights to see: Stratford-upon-Avon (25 minutes’ drive) and Oxford (50 minutes) are both fab for day trips, as are Blenheim Palace (half an hour) and Warwick Castle (35 minutes).
