Wonderful clean comfortable stay with great views and access to nature
Unpowered grass site
Liked We had a fab stay here despite the huge storm forcing us home!
Absolutely spotless facilities, lovely warm showers and so well planned, every detail was designed for comfort and hygiene. Our pitch was completely flat and the grass was short, the wildflower borders had sadly been killed by the heatwaves but what a lovely idea to separate pitches.
It’s a very quiet campsite, we were asked to keep the noise down after 11 as we were talking to loudly (so sorry you had to get out of bed to ask us to quieter down Jess)
Wonderful views from every pitch and loads of space, our pitch was enormous, they could have easily made it into two pitches, and there was lots of room for the kids to play and roam wild. There’s easy access to walk into the woods nearby where we went on a wild boar hunt, and saw 2 deer and a boar with a baby, and a tawny owl.

Liked We had the best 3 night stay, the facilities were immaculate, really handy shop at reception, and Jess was lovely (as was Max the dog to greet us).
We had a huge pitch which was amazing, but all the pitches were large and well spaced so it didn’t feel cramped in at all.
The location is great with access to so many walks and days out nearby, we went to Puzzlewood which was lovely.
The Bailey Inn pub is a short walk away for an afternoon drink, however The Miners Arms a short drive away (also walkable) was amazing, we had a really lovely meal there.
Will definitely be back to this campsite next year as it was perfect for us!
Disliked Having to go home!
