Powered concrete slab caravan site

Liked: The pitches were well kept, for the most flat and spacious. Quiet site that had direct access into the Forest with a 15 minute walk to the path along the river Wye.

Disliked: The shower block facilities could do with an update. The showers were hot and what I would call functional. However if you don’t like spiders and other small insects this is not for you.

Liked: Well kept grounds, staff are great. They are now providing more in the shop and hire facilities for bikes which is a great idea. Love coming back here.

Liked: Staff were exceptionally friendly, pitches were level. Campsite and f as facilities were clean. Lots of activities and breathtaking walks and views. Seen lots of wild deer.

Route directions

The route via Symonds Yat Rock over Huntsham Bridge B4432 has a 1:5 gradient incline. It's a very narrow road, unsuitable for large RVs and motorhomes, and difficult for those towing caravans. Vehicles over seven and a half tonnes are prohibited. Instead, from the A40, take the exit for Forest of Dean and Coleford A4136 (Staunton Road). Continue for five miles, then turn left onto Grove Road. After half a mile, turn left onto Bracelands Drive. The campsite is at the end on the right.

There’s simply masses to do in the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley – from adventurous outings to cultural visits. Get the kids up and active with a visit to Go Ape Beechenhurst (15 minutes’ drive) for Segway tours and zooming down zipwires, and head for the Forest of Dean Adventure Park Bracelands Site (five minutes) for jumping around on ropes, climbing towers and practising archery. Or maybe you fancy kayaking down the River Wye from Wyedean (15 minutes)? For less strenuous days out, have an amble around the mossy woodland trails at Puzzlewood (10 minutes), or get your culture fix at National Trust-owned Westbury Court Garden (25 minutes), with delightful formal plantings around an ornamental lake. Lunchtime? Pack a picnic and eat it at Symonds Yat Rock (five minutes) while enjoying the view of the River Wye winding through its gorge. Prefer a pub? The renowned half-timbered Saracens Head Inn (15 minutes) sits on the river bank and is a great place to stop for lunch or a glass of something chilled. Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.

General

Bookings must not be for more than 28 consecutive nights.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.

Safety

Firearms are not permitted.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the campground/park are unlit.

Hired accommodation

Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.
Hired accommodation: GBP100.00 ($187.92) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.

Motorcycle(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

Hired accommodation

No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.

Arrivals and departures

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between 10 p.m. and 7:30 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked at the site. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

Open fires are prohibited.

Please note, pup tents are to be used for storage purposes only. Guests may not use them for sleeping.
