Liked: The pizza van on the Sunday evening the pizza was amazing and the staff were nice
Disliked: The Site was very steep not many flat areas. We tried ringing the number provided but no one answered and no one returned our call. The Toilets were dirty, we arrived at 1.30pm on Sunday and left at 10.30am on Tuesday and no one had been anywhere near the toilets or showers to clean them and they were a mess, not sure what we got for our £26 a night but it was too much for the state of the facilities. We had read some reviews about the facilities but thought the people had been unlucky when the management had replied, but I have photographs that show how bad the facilities were.

Liked: The rugby club was easy to find and access from the main road. The site was quiet and not busy. There was plenty of space for children to play (10 year old child). The toilets and showers were well equipped and clean.
Disliked: The slope on the camping field may put some people off, we pitched our caravan at the bottom of the field, and whilst it was dry we didn’t have a problem towing back up, it may prove more difficult in the wet.

Liked: Beautiful view and no road noise. On a public footpath, so good for dog walking. Access to water is good and there is also a little play area for kids. The showers looked great apart from the mess left by grass and mud. It would be nice to have a mop left put so we can clean up after ourselves.
Disliked: People in caravans were parking cars on other pitches and some pitches were not vacated in time so we struggled to find our hard standing pitch with electric. The level was quite extreme and ok if you have legs on a caravan but it was too steep for our leveling chocks so we had a very sloping stay, we were still at level -3 length wise and 2 width wise on our spirit levels even after being at full height with our ramps. Not good if you have balance issues. Also kids were using the shower blocks and toilets for hide and seek, so they were full of grass and mud which was disappointing as they were very good showers and with complete privacy I might add. I didn't see any member of staff through out our stay. Would have been helpful to know which pitch was which. Other users had off lead dogs that were quite noisy and consistently Barking. There is a sign for other dog walkers that use the footpath going through to keep their dogs on a lead, so a bit unfair for them.

From the manager: Hi, thanks for staying with us & for your reveiw. Unfortunatly its not possible to level every pitch, we are in the middle of the rolling Cotswold hills so some sloping is to be expected, most people with van seem to manage ok, however we appreciate it's not perfect. We have a memeber of staff available most of the time, if not on site then on the mobile number advertised on all the sign boards & also on the booking form, so if any issues needed to be raised this could been done & we would have responded. As a child & dog freindly site, its impossible to prevent children doing what they do, & having previously left mops & buckets in the shower blocks, they get stolen or broken. We encourage any dog owners to be respectful of other site users, but can't monitor every dog that stays with us, or any that walk through the camp site & unfortunatly we have to rely on the owners to be respectful of other users. With regard to the cars parked on other pitches, if this had been reported to our site manager on the advertised phone number we would have addressd this, however as far as i'm aware, not comments were received. The pitch allocation is clearly noted on the large white board at the entrance to the site so it should have been easy to locate the pitch, however we will monitor this more closly going forward. Thanks for staying with us \& gving us your feedback.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked: Having read reviews after I’d booked I was worried about the state of facilities but, other than a little mud in the showers doorway, as expected. Facilities were in good condition.
Disliked: Dogs were free roaming everywhere. Not so much as an inch of flat level space. So spent all night sliding down the tent. Not enough space to get pitched because people spread out more than necessary. Very loud and noisy site.
