What customers say

This spot’s a ripper for a quiet, private camp with top hosts. Sites are neat, often tucked away, with fire pits and BBQs. Facilities are basic (no showers), but folks love the peace, bushland, and the owner's a legend. A few reckon better freezer access would be sweet. Most wanna come back.

Unpowered grass tent site (large, woodland)

Liked Everything…
We booked the large woodland pitch which lives up to its name and then some. It’s not large it’s absolutely huge! There are two other pitches but they separated and extremely private, you don’t really notice it simply feels like you are the only occupants.

Quiet, peaceful and amazing views.

I do believe we’ll be back next year a trip I suspect that is already in planning…

Disliked Nothing to dislike

Unpowered grass tent site (large, woodland)

Liked Very spacious pitch, beautiful views. 5 minutes walk to arbor low stone circle. So many other national treasures to visit close by. The owner is absolutely amazing, who's there to help with anything you need. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Unpowered grass tent site (large, woodland)

Liked Very quiet and secluded and we loved having an entire area to ourselves. We also took a rope and made a perfect swing in the woods. Owner was very friendly and welcoming.

Unpowered grass tent site (large, woodland)

Liked The peacefulness, so good for the soul!
First 'family' holiday, eldest 79, youngest 10, party of 8 and a dog. Never laughed as much in a long time!!
Steve is a fantastic host, nothing is too much trouble!
Not my first time here, but the extended family wanted to experience Oldham's Wood as I have been banging on about how great it was the first time.
Can't wait till my next visit!

Unpowered grass tent site (large, woodland)

Liked Very tiny, quiet site. We stayed on one the woodland pitches, with beautiful views and no other pitches in sight. The site is very quiet & next to a historic stone circle site. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The site allows fires and supplies firewood, and we had fantastic campfires each evening. The facilities are very basic, but there is plenty of hot water

Disliked The torrential rain on our second night... not the fault of the site
