What customers say
Thorpe Cloud View boasts cracker views and a chill vibe. Ed's a legend, super friendly! Pitches are roomy, heaps with great views, and you can pick your own. Basic but clean loos and showers, fire pits to hire. Some reckon facilities are a bit bare-bones and pitches can be slopey, but the natural beauty shines.

A site with beautiful views, clean bathroom & washup & friendly owner
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked A beautiful site, we really liked the tiers. All the pitches had great views too. Wash up, bathrooms clean and easy to use. Ed gave us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed, the fire pit was perfect, and the extra magic flames were a delight!

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Plenty of space for campers, wash facilities available and Ed the farmer was lovely & there to help if needed. Short drive from Dove dale stepping stones & Thorpe Cloud Summit hikes. Even after a cloudy afternoon and Terrential rain, you were able to see the stars at night. Amazing Views.

Disliked Taps/flush in portaloos weren't working, no phone signal for miles around on O2

Peaceful stay with stunning views & superb hospitality from Ed!
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Stunning views (especially sunset), large pitches with picnic tables, peaceful and private, fire pits for rent and wood for sale, warm showers, clean loos, and of course the hospitality of Ed the farmer, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. We had everything we needed, slept soundly, and were well situated for the places we wanted to explore this weekend. Would recommend to friends and family visiting the Peak District. Cheers Ed!

Nice spot but toilets and sloped pitch would put me off a return visit
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely quiet spot. Lots of space - didn't see my 'neighbours'! Lovely views and sunset. Fresh water, Friendly welcome.
Disliked The porta-loos - that's an experience I will never forget - they were full and smelly! My pitch was on a slope - might be ok in a caravan but impossible in a tent - I kept rolling to one end in the night. The lower terraces looked flatter.

Great price, fantastic views, great host and excellent facilities.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Fantastic price, Ed the host, clean facilities and a shower!!! Loved it. Each space had a picnic table, can hire a fire pit and buy wood which means you don’t have to take these things. Good size plot for tent and car. Great views. Plenty of places to visit not far way including Carsington water, Dovedale stepping stones. Thank you.

Beautiful, basic but has everything you need.
Unpowered grass campervan site
Liked This site is beautiful. We wanted to find a wild camping spot and this ticks all the boxes but has the basic amenities that you need. If you are looking for a glamping experience, this is not the site for you! The views are incredible and the freedom to have a BBQ and camp fire makes this place perfect. Fires are not permitted in the Peak District National Park but this site sits just beyond the boundary. The owners were friendly and helpful on arrival and really informative when we left the site. I would recommend this little gem to any campers who enjoy a proper back to nature experience.
