  • Spacious pitches at a family-run farm in rural Bedfordshire
  • Grafham Water and St Neots 15 minutes' drive away
  • Well-stocked village shop and off-licence on site; pub a mile away
Grab yourselves a break that covers two counties with a stay at Top End Farm, on the border of Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. In the village of Little Staughton, this family-run farm stretches over 11 acres, so lovely country views are standard. The pitches are spread across two fields, making plenty of space for all guests to set their kit up and relax. Facilities have been very well thought out too, particularly the two heated toilets and shower blocks (with large shower cubicles, hair dryers, shaver points and an accessible wet room) and the kitchen area, which has a food prep area, a freezer and two large sinks. There’s a play area to keep the kids busy too. Sorting food to prep is a doddle, as the site has firepits that can be hired for an additional fee. The farm is also home to the village shop and off-licence, which stocks local veg and fresh bread along with meats for the barbecue. For a more extensive stock-up, there are supermarkets in St Neots, 15 minutes’ drive away. And if you don’t feel like cooking? The folk on site can provide you with details of various takeaways that deliver to the site, or the village pub is a little over a mile away. The farm also has an information hut with all manner of local info on places to go and things to do – activities nearby include fishing, golf, various aqua parks and bike rides, or days out at the Shuttleworth Collection, Woburn Safari Park and Wyboston Lakes.

Liked It's a lovely campsite and easy to find. The owner is very nice and helpful. I only stayed for a night with my friends for a festival in the tent pitch area and was plenty of room for the tent and the car which is very handy to have the car close.
Place is secured with a gate and you are given a code to enter. There's a playground for children and the toilets and showers are very clean. The only thing is that there's no reception and the WiFi didn't work but it didn'tbother us. Would definitely stay again.

From the manager: Hi
Glad you had a good time and thank you for your review
Reception isnt the greatest for some networks but unfortunatley that is part of being in the village
There are some areas of the campsite which doesnt work with wifi but cannont be done, please ask for a better area next time we cannont get all the way to the play area as has to be run off the electric points

Liked Brilliant, friendly family atmosphere! Plenty for the kids to do in the park and skate ramp; they played all day into the evening.
Clean toilets and showers, shop on site is very handy, the site is very well maintained and clean throughout. The local retail park and shops are also very handy. This is the perfect place for parents to come and relax and let the children have fun 👍 we will definitely stay again !

Disliked Couldn't get on the WiFi - it was very busy! But this wouldn't stop us from booking again

Liked Good facilities - clean toilets and showers that were hot on our first morning but only warm the next morning.
Excellent farm shop on site that sells just about everything!
The site felt secure with wardens at the gate and an electric gate. The wardens are great and kept a close eye on things around the site.

Disliked Not very peaceful when we were there as one of the campers felt the need to broadcast the entire Glastonbury festival on their radio all day and most of the evening.....

From the manager: Thank you for your review
Glad you felt secure and the shop and wardens were to your liking
Im sorry that you experienced a bad neighbour our wardens would have approached them if they had been told you were not happy
sorry that you wouldnt visit again

Local attractions

Keen to try something that will get everyone involved and perhaps raise the competitive spirit? There are a few places nearby for that. Head to Colmworth Golf Club (10 minutes’ drive) for some putting action, or Sporting Targets (20 minutes) to discover which clay pigeon shooter among you has the greatest aim. At Southlake Waterpark (15 minutes), you can try different watersports, including paddleboarding, waterskiing and wakeboarding. Grafham Water (15 minutes) is a little more laidback, with activities such as fishing, sailing and peaceful bicycle rides. Like animals of all shapes and sizes? For wildlife watching, head to one of these three: Woburn Safari Park (35 minutes), Herrings Green Activity Farm & Bird of Prey Centre (half an hour) and the Paxton Pits Nature Reserve (15 minutes). For a day of general pottering, St Ives (half an hour) should do the trick, with its pretty town centre, riverside walks and indie shops. Shuttleworth Collection & Gardens (20 minutes) has a short woodland trail and a vintage aircraft collection, making it a nice contender for slow-paced days out too.
