Δεν μου άρεσε: The newer shower rooms flooded so the whole floor was wet meant the kids clothes ended up soaking wet. The gate is locked until 9am this is quite late considering most campers are up early.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay
In regards to the New shower rooms they are made for 1 person we do have another shower block which has a larger cubicle in for when familys are wanting to use it with younger children. The electric gate is locked between the hours of 10pm - 9am however you can get of the campsite at any time due to us having a one way system you do not exit via the electric gate.

Neatly maintained, good pitch, toilets were immaculate. Fridge, washing area and many other facilities were really good. Loved the entire stay.
Δεν μου άρεσε: We were 3 families and wanted to pitch tents next to each other, although we had called them 2 weeks ago, they still dint give them together which was a bit of a dampener.
After 1st day, the electricity went out in the pitch. When asked they couldn't fix it and refused to refund difference amount and instead gave us options to move to another electric pitch. How would we fold tents and pitch in a different place all over again? That was very poor customer service.
Rules are very strict which I personally felt it was not needed. Some rules needs to be eased, for example allow friends to pitch together or use multiple tents in same pitch as its a big pitch.
The beautiful Yorkshire dales view is blocked with many shrubs. Would be nice if they work towards improving the view.

Unfortunatley on your last night the electric did go off which was completely beyond our control, as was explained to you at the time, this affected 6 pitches on site including your pitch the other pitch in your group with ehu was not affected and the other pitch was a non-electric pitch, this was because someone departing from our site had caused damage to one of our boxes, we did everything in our power to try and resolve this problem, but with it being a bank holiday weekend we where unable to get an electrician out, we did offer you another pitch with ehu but you declined.
Regarding you wanting to be pitched together 1 family had booked a non electric pitch which is in a different area to the campsite, another booking was a large electric pitch which is again behind the smaller electric pitches, you where as close as we could possibly get you at such short notice. You did not call us two weeks before your arrival as you had only made the booking on the 19/05/2024 and we were never informed that you were booking with two other families as we only accept two family bookings on our site which is stated in pitch ups terms and conditons.
Regarding the view of " The Beautiful Yorkshire Dales" we are in the Lake district which is about 2 hrs 30 mins away from the Yorkshire dales.
Regarding allowing multiple tents on the same pitch this is not permitted due to it being a legal requirement of units being 6 metres apart at all times.
We do allow friends/families to pitch together, however this is on request and we need to be informed that you are coming together for us to be able to do so, however due to your bookings all being different pitch types and sizes this was not possible in your case, as stated above. We had pitched you as close as we possibly could.

all our facilities are cleaned daily and checked daily, mops are provided outside the shower blocks for guests to mop on their exit, unfortunatly we are unable to mop the floors in each cubicle after every guest has been in however we do check them often to ensure they are up to a high standard

for your kind review, we do have two shower blocks with enough showers and toilets for the size of our site, in regards to the cleaning, all our facilities are cleaned daily and mops are provided outside for guests to mop the cubicle on their exit, unfortunatley we can not go in and mop the floor after every use but they are checked often and cleaned daily.

Δεν μου άρεσε: LOUD groups of drinkers, states quiet hours after 11pm which is why we chose this with young children. The place was utter carnage, woke us up at 3am screaming drunks.
Our electric was disconnected on the third night which caused all our food in fridge to go warm, discussed this with owners daughter who was BEYOND rude. Owner then visited our pitch to discuss it and was pleasant but still nothing could be done. Paid for an electric pitch but couldn’t be used.

Regarding the electrical issue, this was your last night on our site and we personally didn't disconnect your electric, we had a incident in which a box was damaged which effected a few of our electric pitches on site. We did everything in our power to try and fix this. However you came to reception angry and upset which is understandable due to the circumstances, my daughter had explained the situation to you, however you where rude and disrespectful towards her because she was unable to fix the issue. You where not the only pitch affected by the electrical issue and you where told we were unable to get a electrician out due to it being a bank holiday. My daughter had called us upset due to the way you had spoken to her hence why we came up to speak to you. We gave you a key to our storage shed so you where able to plug your fridge and kettle in which you have omitted to mention. When departing you left the key on the floor outside reception, luckily another camper had picked the key up and handed it to a member of staff. Regarding noise, we had spoken to you on numerous occations during your stay and not once did you mention anything to do with noise on site, we walk round site at 11pm every night and check the welfare of all our campers and there was no excessive noise. The only noise complaint we had recieved was one regarding your chilldren screaming and shouting during the night. My daughter also kindly showed your partner and your children around the farm allowing them to see all the animals. When you spoke to my daughter outside reception you walked away from her while she was trying to explain the situation as it was completely out of our control. We have watched the full interaction back on our CCTV system and the only person being rude and aggressive is you!
We got the impression during your stay that you are new to camping and you had not enjoyed your camping experience for reasons which have nothing to do with us or our site, you have marked a 2 out of 10 for accommodation & we did not provided you with any accommodation, if your tent is inadequate it has nothing to do with us, it may be a good idea for you to upgrade, that is why I feel this 'review' is written by you out of spite because you have found that camping is not for you & you are blaming us for it.

The Campfires cant be moved due to fire safety regulations, when booking a pitch we do ask for your tent size because some of our pitches are smaller then others. If you had booked a larger pitch then your tent would have been further away from the campfire allowing you to use the one on your pitch, the reason we ask for tent sizes is to ensure that the tent will fit onto the pitch you have booked, if your tent was to close to the fire pit this means your tent is larger than the pitch size you had booked.
We can accommodate all tent sizes on our site
