Really great setting, great cafe / bistro fantastic walks

Toilet with combined showers were a little off putting. More often than not a layer of sandy water from people showering and others walking dirt and dust in whilst visiting the toilets. Would be better a separate shower block in my opinion.

Customer service is brilliant!
We had trouble with our electric hook up on the first night, this was swiftly sorted and a complimentary breakfast was thrown in to compensate.

The site was a little busier due to the bank holiday with a lot of campers on the camping field.
In turn making the bathroom facilities very mucky…can’t be helped though.

Amazing site, lovely views and plenty of lovely walks.
Singer on over the weekend which was lovely to sit outside and listen too whilst having a drink in the lovely weather.

Toilet and shower block clean but after showering floor gets very wet which made the whole area wet and slippy as toilet and shower in the same room.
Not alot of toilets/showers for whole site especially if it's busy.

The pitch size is good.
It was quiet on a night.
The marina was lovely and you could get food/drink at the cafe and sit outside. Very relaxing, apart from the wasps but you get them anywhere really where there's food.

The postcode took us to a private driveway. The site was approximately another mile.
There were 8 separate unisex toilets each with a shower. Although there were extra in the reception area, this was also part of the cafe area. There was regularly a queue for the ones on site. Not impressed with the cleanliness or lack of toilet roll towards early evening onwards.
People in the bell tents had to walk through the caravan area to use the facilities.
The elsan point was close to the marina and wasn't pleasant.
The site is a working site so can be a bit noisy except on weekends.
No shop on site and needed to drive to nearest one. Winsford had good choices.

Just had a 3 night stay here on a non electric grass pitch (small campervan) . The camp fields are huge and we were very lucky that all other campers were very respectful and it was a very peaceful few days. We followed a canal walk from the booklet available in reception, hoping for a pub as the cafe closes at 8pm, but unfortunately it looks like the farmer may have removed the walking route markers as they disappeared as we reached a farm property. Unsure where to go and not wanting to trespass we headed back to the site. Wouldn't want to walk the road route due to no paths.

Needs more toilet/shower facilities, especially at the top of the camp fields. Cafe could do with more staff, nearly all tables had uncollected, dirty plates etc on them for a long time, encouraging wasps. Long wait for food considering it was quite a basic/easy menu.

Sitting down, and watching the sun go down over the canal with a nice glass of wine.

The site has become very busy and noisy, kept awake on the first night due to our neighbours being loud well into the early hours.
There after the camping site in the back field was very noisy every night well into the early hours, every night we had to got to bed with the radio on or using ear plugs.

Also for the amount of people on site, there wasn't enough toilets and showers.

What a find !! Spent 3 nights and explored the area. On arrival it was easy to access the tent field, pitches were flat and loved that we could pitch where we wanted, loads of space, very nice clean and tidy field. Showers and toilets were great, cleaned regularly….. ok they can get a bit messy when wet but bring flip flops and no problems at all. Water always hot and plenty of loo roll, hand soap. Washing up facilities were always clean and tidy again loads of hot water. The grounds of the marina are well kept. Used the cafe for lunch and drinks on sat afternoon while listening to the music. 2 lovely pubs both walking distance if you like a walk. Staff were helpful and a big thanks to the lady on reception who told us about the walk to Church Minshull….. loved the walk into the village. Will definitely return

Lovely big campsite, lots of pitches to chose from and quiet. Cafe was wonderful.

Shower and toilet facilities inadequate for the amount of people on site and consistently had water and loo roll on the floor and appeared to only be cleaned once a day

Peaceful location and lots of space even on bank holiday weekend. Great Saturday afternoon entertainment and lovely to walk along the canal from the campsite.

Always a queue at toilet/shower facility. Could do with some separate toilets to showers. Didn't help that cleaning seemed to happen right at peak time in the morning.
