Some of the pitches are very uneven, you need to get there quite early to get a flat pitch especially in the Riverside area. The main toilets at the entrance were OK, there was 3, but sadly no wash basin or soap to wash hands after, just a hose pipe tap, I thought was quite unhygienic.
Didn't use the showers so can not comment on that.
The riverside pitches had 3 porta loos, they were OK but ran out of toilet paper quite often, they did get filled back up but not till late at night. Beware if you pitch close to these you will hear the doors banging all night when people just walk out and let the doors swing shut, instead of thinking of others and holding the door to shut behind them, (not sites fault) maybe a notice on doors to say 'please close doors quietly at night'
The site owner came round at 10-10.30 every night which was good asking people to be quiet so people could sleep, sadly a few families turned music down or off while the man was around as soon as he disappeared the music went back on and laughing and chatting loudly continued till around 1am. again not sites fault just inconsiderate people.Unbeliebt: No hand wash facilities at toilets, inconsiderate people ignoring rules, Riverside toilet doors banging all night.

There was a group of lads on the site who were smoking weed and again didn't care there was young children around, which is a shame.

Toilets were in good condition & there was plenty of bricks to make our own fire pit. Staff were all friendly & helpful. The horse riding session run at the site was very much enjoyed by my daughter. The local town is only 10-15 min walk & theres lots of nice places to eat & drink. Overall a very pleasant weekend.

Just to clarify for others reading this review......campers choose their own pitch on our site. No one is further than 150 metres from a toilet, but if you prioritise a view from a hill top or seclusion away from others over proximity to toilets, you could have up to a 150 metre walk.
On the weekend of this review, there were camping pitches available in the river field within 10 metres of a block of 3 toilets.

You chose your own pitch amongst 32 acres of farmland. If your pitch was undulating - it was your choice. Everyone who went into the river field that weekend had the option of going into the main camping field.
There were hot water running handwashing's facilities all weekend at the campsite entrance - clearly signposted. We walked the site and spoke to everyone at least 3 times every day and you never asked us where the handwashing facilities were.
I don't agree with your characterisation of hardworking people enjoying an affordable camping trip. I found the vast majority polite, kind and decent.
