We loved the truly breathtaking scenery, the peace and quiet and the rural location. Rhian was lovely and welcoming and took time to show us the facilities and made sure we had settled in. We didn't have mobile signal, but we feel this was a good thing to switch off for our holiday, there is free WiFi in the shower block to check messages and emails if you want to. The site is great value for money, you couldn't put a price on the view. You are a short drive from other locations, but you can get a food delivery to save time, we had a Tesco delivery with all our essential just popped upto the entrance to meet the Tesco driver.

The children loved playing pooh sticks in the stream and we all enjoyed our campfires with smores and baked potatoes.

We will be returning and can't wait to feel relaxed and enjoy the tranquility.

If you are looking for a peaceful, rural, relaxed experience, which is great value for money, look no further than bird rock campsite.

Nothing to dislike,

Lovely walks available from the campsite. We liked that we could choose our own pitch! Location was great for exploring the area and there are lovely views from the site. Hot water in the toilets and plenty of soap.

The facilities are very basic - we were only staying for 1 night so we chose not to use the showers as they didn’t look great. There’s also a very limited amount too. The ground was very rocky in some places which made securing tent pegs tricky.

Absolutely loved it, the owner was so lovely, the campsite is massive so plenty of spots to choose from. We stopped for 3 nights, we knew there was a storm coming but that didn't stop us, we watched thunder and lightening one night, saw the winds demolish 3 tents but it didn't put us off one bit. I even got wifi which was a bonus. Definitely the best camp site we have been too. So many beautiful views. We will be back next year for sure.

Having to come home.

Lovely campsite. Plenty of space. Was met by the owner as we arrived in the car. We didn't even have to get out of the car. She approached us and took our names. Told us where to drive to so we could access the field we were staying in. We arrived earlier than the 2pm that was stayed online and she said it was absolutely fine to still pitch our tent. I then went to pay her our outstanding balance and she told us to get ourselves set up first and get comfy and relaxed and once we were ready we could go back over and pay. She made us feel welcomed and relaxed. And for that we will 1000% be going back again. Great value for money, only costing us £15 per night. We stayed for 2 nights so it only cost us £30 for the weekend. We were plesently surprised as it was the height of the summer holidays and expected it to be much more expensive. The price also included any size tent, porch, awning or gazebo, 2 dogs and 2 cars. And also allows BBQ's and campfires. We always use a fire pit so we don't damage the grass.

The amenities could do with a face lift.

Depends what you are going for like me I was going to get away from it all and relax this was the ideal spot for us so make sure you take enough tea bags cause if you don't the nearest shop is 6 mile away in towyn. Very nice peaceful site in beautiful surroundings.Owner is lovely very accomodating

It was our 3rd time here and again amazing. Lovely little campsite with incredible views. Can’t wait to back again next year.

Lovely flat site, lots of space and the car can park next to the tent to act at a wind break during the storm when it arrived

Only there for one night so not much that could go wrong!

The facilities are really good the whole site is very quite and peaceful, the owners of the site are extremely friendly and helpful with there knowledge of the area, definitely come back to this site without hesitation

Location.

Friendly.

Unable to fill our motor home with water, as the taps (x2) were not capable of taking a hose fitting of any kind.
The showers either did not work, or were so hot they burned your skin (a waste of 50p).
The lid to the chemical disposal point would not stay up, so I had to precariously hold it up with my foot whilst trying to empty my cassette.
Toilets and showers were not very clean.
The campsite was generally messy, with old farm equipment strewn at the margins.
