Syntes om Great location for nearby walks. Very clean pitch area with lots of bins located around which seem to get emptied both mornings. Pitch well lit with a water supply on pitch.
Welcoming reception staff. Option for a chippy or coffee. Didn't access the bar or games room but great facilities.

Syntes ikke om I can only talk about the showers closest to the reception but they were the most powerful showers I have ever been in. Far to hot, felt like your skin was being jet washed off, angled quite bad so clothes got wet behind and unable to adjust temperature.

We was on pitch 23, luckily in our case it didnt happen but if anyone had of been on pitch 24 it would have been uncomfortably close.

Missed a trick on not selling Breakfast sandwiches, plenty of pitches went to the coffee shop in the morning of packing up hoping to get some breakfast.

We’re sorry to hear the showers near reception didn’t feel quite right for you. Just to clarify for future guests — the showers are adjustable, and you simply need to turn the control to change the temperature and pressure. That said, we’ll look at making this clearer, as we understand it’s not always obvious at first glance.

Thank you also for your comments about pitch spacing; feedback like this helps us continually review how we can improve comfort for everyone.

Regarding breakfast sandwiches, we completely understand the demand — especially on busy mornings when guests are packing up. At the moment, staffing makes this a difficult one for us, as we only have someone available for short hours, so offering a full breakfast service isn’t something we can reliably support right now. It’s definitely something we’d love to explore further as our team grows.

Syntes om I booked a non electric pitch for two kids, two dogs and two adults. Reception book in was easy and very helpful, small shop and lots of leaflets about the surrounding area. We were shown lots of areas where we could select our pitch we we loved as could pick somewhere quiet and shaded. There was plenty of space and pitch options for non electric. Everything was in easy reach of toilets and showers. Lovely large playground for kids of all ages. More facilities we didn't get chance to use such as microwave, phone charging area etc. Lovely site and staff. I would visit again.

Not dislikes but just a couple of points. No wifi or phone signal where we chose to pitch but that was fine for us and we were told at reception where WiFi reached. Also, dog field is locked and needs to be paid for booked. This is not a problem and it does state this on the website, it is a lovely large secure field.

We also appreciate you mentioning the practical points. The Wi‑Fi and phone signal can vary depending on where you pitch, and we’re glad the team were able to advise you on coverage areas. As for the dog field, it is a secure, bookable space and does require a small fee but we’re pleased you found it to be a lovely, safe area for dogs to enjoy.

Option of a good bar. But sadly we waited Thurs for singer but after I asked 90 mins after start time ..was told not coming but not Ullswater fault just disappointing .
Great marina to launch kayak.spent every day there.peaceful

Clearer marking for marina .we weren't the only ones who went to the Ullswater one instead of the correct.fairfield marine? Nothing on sign to say it's with campsite .

We’re sorry the singer didn’t arrive as planned, but we’re glad you recognised this wasn’t within our control.

Regarding the shop, we appreciate your feedback. We did run out of some items due to delivery issues in the area, which can occasionally affect stock levels. For anyone self‑catering, there are supermarkets in Penrith, around a 20‑minute drive away, offering a much wider selection. We’ll continue working to keep our on‑site shop as well stocked as possible.

Thank you also for mentioning the marina signage. You’re right — it can be confusing for first‑time visitors, and you weren’t the only ones who ended up at the Ullswater marina instead. We’ll be reviewing this to try and improve this to make it more clear for customers.
