Líbí se There is a lot to like about this site, I’ll start with Christine, the site owner. Her attitude was fantastic, her communication was spot on, I asked an abundance of questions before we arrived and she was super prompt with a reply and very helpful. Her presence on the site throughout our stay was fantastic, not overpowering but always nearby if you needed her and was always very happy to help. We would return again based on her alone! The site is laid out well. We had a non-electric pitch and had plenty of space. Which was lovely. We were probably the furthest corner of the site, and the walk to the facilities was no problem. The facilities themselves were good, clean, never too busy and just what you needed. The charging lockers were very handy and we used them for the duration of our stay. Bargain as well considering their convenience. The location of the site was fantastic and we really enjoyed waking up to the views out across the fields. If you’re due to stay soon, my only advice would be, take a decent hammer and even a claw hammer for your tent pegs. The ground is rock hard from 60 odd days without rain. I spent longer pulling pegs out of the ground than anything else when we left. Although you can buy drill in pegs on site. We was able to watch the eclipse here during our stay, along with a wonderful meteor shower and to top it off we spotted deer in the field next to our tents which was wonderful Very recommended and well happy with our stay. We will be back.

Líbí se This was our first ever camping trip as a family with a 1 year old. Setts Wood is absolutely fantastic, we absolutely loved our time here. The location itself is very tranquil and picturesque with views spreading across lots of green space with some wonderful views to be had. The site itself was very well laid out. The fishing lake was very enjoyable and we had a couple of decent carp out of it. The facilities, let’s be honest, it’s what’s put us off of camping forever! The facilities were very good. Clean and tidy, very well kept, well laid out and easily accessed. The shower was also decent and clean and very much needed after the 30deg day we had. We also had no queueing or waiting around. Our little one is 15 months old, there was plenty of space for her to run around in which was fantastic. The sheep and alpacas were of huge interest to her as well! We also took our dog who got on here just fine, again plenty of space for them to charge about in. Think he was living the dream whilst we was here to be honest! The location was great, it was laid out very well, really well presented. As I say, I’ve never been camping before, but I really do think you’ll struggle to find anything better for the money, in this area, with such a great layout. See you again soon!!
