They will also provide itineraries for family cycling trips and challenging mountain-bike routes through hilly terrain, or you can get out on the water at the Canoa Club Città di Castello (five minutes’ drive) for paddling adventures along the River Tiber. For a taster of wonder-filled Umbrian cities, Perugia (50 minutes), Assisi (an hour) and Montone (25 minutes) are all close by too, if you’d care to spend a couple of days discovering sublime architecture and great art in their galleries.
