The lagoons, cliffs and beaches of the gorgeous Sinis Peninsula are places you could wander on a loved up or solitary basis for aeons: this is a marine protected area, and as you'd expect has lots of critters to spy from its shores and at its flamingo-filled salt lakes. Visit the fishing town of Cabras, Is Benas, Sale Porcus and the spaghetti Western village of San Salvatore di Sinis for peninsula days out at a sleepy pace, or get active at windsurfing, sailing, motorboating or scuba diving depending on the season. Or you could hire a bike and pedal off into the countryside around Camping Nurapolis: suggested stopoffs include the archaeological site of Tharros, the giant statues of Monte Prama in Cabras, the S'Archittu and the Sa Mesa Longa rock formations.
